It fell 1-2-8-20-28-off. That sort of drop was common on AT40/CT40 in the 1970s, 80s, and early 90s, but has been rare since 1993 or so.

I stand corrected. Upon further inspection, it looks like "Justify My Love" ended a 10-week run in 1991. Neither R&R nor CT40 was including the 2 weeks over the holiday.

He did do a good job hosting the countdown. Some artists act over the top, but Macklemore sounded professional. The other thing I noticed was that he didn't talk so much. I'm not sure if other artists that have hosted the show have talked that much, but I could have sworn they talked way more than necessary.
