If this doesn't work, just launch the first single from the second album in Q1.
Or they could throw out the Ed Sheeran track, but coming after this would hurt it unless it really hit.

*falls asleep waiting for her team to do something with this*
Remember how hard they pushed Havana and NBTS? Where's that energy now?

The second I heard this I thought if given a chance it could be a hit. It's different but catchy and a little unexpected from her. I have nothing against Swae Lee but I feel his autotuned vocal messes with the vibe of what sounded like a nice breezy natural song that doesn't need computers to fit on the radio.

It doesnt look like the label is pushing this. This is no where to be found on airplay Itunes or Spotify.

ok so real friends obviously isn't happening, ok. so what's next, falls coming so there's maybe a smash in "Something's Gotta Give" I feel like she doesn't have new music ready so she's probably do another radio single.
do we count this as a single if it wasn't given a adds date, or can we brush it off.

She needs to figure something out or I could see her becoming what I’d predicted — the 2017/8 Meghan Trainor. One album wonder.

I think if it never had an adds date it wasn’t a single. I think it’s reasonably clear they were floating the idea as a possibility, but the response might have encouraged them to drop plans to push it to radio.
I think since she’s had past success before this album she’s not in too much danger of being Megan Trainor lol. But that doesn’t mean she’ll develop into a full blown all around pop star as opposed to a person who can churn out successful singles periodically. Time will tell.

I don’t see Camila having as much of a struggle. She’s more of a hustler than Meghan, she’s more marketable, and she’s keeping herself busy and active. Realistically, I can see the her ending this era, releasing a couple of collabos, and coming back with a strong lead for her sophomore effort.

Nothing else from the album will work for Camila. Once she’s finished touring, if she’s isn’t already, she should move on. She Loves Control should’ve been the third album single (and not this remix or Sangria Wine). I can see why they released it though since Real Friends has better streaming numbers than She Loves Control, surprisingly.
They need to let Beautiful do it’s thing, and if I remember correctly she was writing/working with Lin Manuel not too long from an Instagram post she shared. So at least she’ll have something out until the 2nd album.

Maybe they are fine to just let 'Beautiful' keep her name out there, and that's why they're not seemingly pushing this (at least yet). Otherwise what was the point of releasing a remix with a feature? Unless they were thinking it was going to instantly connect in sales/streaming - but if that's the case I think they misfired with the choice of who to feature. I mean who tf is Swae Lee to pop audiences, exactly?

If they were going to go for a single from her album while "Beautiful" was out perhaps they should have went with "She Loves Control" or my favorite "Into It" but I never hear anyone mention that song. lol. "Sangria Wine" messed everything up. If that didn't pop up on the radar "She loves Control" probably would have been released followed by "Beautiful" and if it she was still in demand "Real Friends" could have followed.

'Into It' was the only other song I had any particular level of interest as a single following 'Never Be The Same', but everyone seems to love 'She Loves Control' (I've never gotten the hype).

I’m still so confused about why they haven’t pushed another single.

I'm team SLC, but Into It also sounded like a hit. This one could have worked too. Aside from those three, not much else could be a single, but then again that would still wrap the album up with five singles which would have been great.

Real Friends would have been a hit if they pushed it. Part of the problem is they waited too long between Never be the same and Real friends.
