I feel the same. It's a bit too 'in your face' to do too much...I'm gonna predict a chart run sort of like The Outsiders Eric’s music is a perfect example of what I’m talking about. He’ll come out with something like “The Outsiders” or “Mr. Misunderstood(both of which are good)then they’ll stall in the top 20 or lower then he hits you right in the face with a smash hit like “Talladega”, “Record Year” and the current single “Round Here Buzz”. If him or these guys would release something like them songs all the time there’s no doubt in my mind they’d be collecting hit after hit. Brothers Osborne need more “Stay A Little Longer” type songs and they’ll be racking the hits up. “American Crazy” from their debut album was a missed hit I think. The chart run of “Rum” really surprised me. I honestly thought it should’ve been a top 10. Yep. There's something about Eric, Jay Joyce, and Brothers Osborne. Musical masters in so many ways. I love it.

It’s great and the studio version is six minutes plus long. Of course they cut lots of the instrumentals out of the radio cut.

I'm really digging this. I especially love how extended the song is and how the band gets to jam out. I've always preferred the extended version of "Stay a Little Longer" over the radio edit because of this too.

Hmm not feeling this one yet, I'm sure it'll click with me though as I loved everything from them except their debut single.

Wow this is awesome. Straight up jam that reminds me of the live version of Peter Frampton’s “Do You Feel Like I Do” with that super long solo/jam session at the end. They’re certainly sticking to their style with this and they do it so well.

I like this but was the extra 3 Minutes of music necessary? I hope they release a radio edit of this.

I loved the extra music! 3 minutes may have been a little long, but I love love love the outro they did for Stay a Little Longer so I really loved it here too. And yes, of course there is a radio edit. It’s great and the studio version is six minutes plus long. Of course they cut lots of the instrumentals out of the radio cut.

This is pretty much what I imagined their next lead single sounding like: country-rock with a focus on their instrumental ability. I don't think it's a bad idea to go for a bolder, not-too-radio-friendly single to move the needle in the vein of Eric Church's last two albums. They certainly capture a similar outlaw, rule-breaking sound as Eric Church, so why not follow his lead?
As for the song itself, I love it. This is right up my alley and reminds me of some southern rock bands I love (ex. Blackberry Smoke). I see this peaking in the teens and paving the way for a smash second single, strong album sales, and likely another CMA Duo of the Year award.

I like this the more I listen to it. While I loved the outro on “Stay A Little Longer,” I found this one a bit long. After the first listen though it’s growing on me.

This is nice! It's got a nice country-rock vibe going for it here. I'm liking the outro a bit more on the second listen more than the first, too.

I like this song quite a bit and it's selling pretty well given its airplay (it was #296 on iTunes) but I don't know if I see this one being a big hit for these guys. I really like the production and I love their voices but I think this one's just a little too different from the typical country radio song, and because of that I'm envisioning this one not testing all that well, which would likely prevent it from becoming a really big hit. I can see it maybe doing a little better than "Rum" and "21 Summer" (which should have been massive) but I don't think it'll do as well as "It Ain't My Fault" did, and certainly not as well as "Stay A Little Longer".
I'd love to be proven wrong though because these guys are great. I really like their style of music. I just think they need to establish themselves with a couple of obvious smash hits before trying to consistently push songs that sound a little more 'out there' like this one does. Because if they release too many songs that aren't super radio-friendly, then they'll miss their chance at becoming a truly big name in country music.

I see this album doing really well, and I think there's gonna be a couple surefire smashes on it. Of the few songs they've played in public, I've loved all 3. 'Drank Like Hank' is a total JAM, 'While You Still Can' is a touching song that they played on Bobby Bones, (may be a sign of it being the 2nd single) and 'Weed, Whiskey, and Willie' is an awesome stone cold country tune that Merle/Willie/Waylon/Hank/etc fans will love. It's like their version of Record Year.

There's radio edit version of the song on Apple music but it's not available to purchase on iTunes? Lol Didn't realize it wasn't available to purchase... that's strange. I like the radio edit more when I'm listening to this among other songs, but I'm excited to hear how the full version sounds on the context of the album. I like the outro a lot but not like I did with "Stay a Little Longer"
