Title says it all. I'll open the floor with Carly Rae Jepsen and Anna Nalick.

I had always wished New Boyz and LMFAO traded success. I always found "Backseat" catchier and more fun than "Party Rock Anthem" and "Better With the Lights Off" funnier and more infectious than "Sexy and I Know It."

And with that general era/topic, I would throw Dev into the pool of artists that should have been bigger than they were. Her solo album was really good, as were all her singles and collabs before it.

Big Sean
He's only average height, and I feel like that's false advertising.

Is she the one that like...was in the middle of gaining momentum with a first or second single and her album but then took a break to have a baby or couldn't really promote because she was really pregnant? I swear that happened with some star either her or someone like her and I remember thinking, wow, a lot of the time you only have one shot and I feel like a lot of people would have made another choice there lol.

Yes - I believe she had a baby between her albums and did some reality show about it, too. Right? I know she talked about more live instrumentation in the future and I just feel like she had promise.

I don't remember the reality show but it is possible. I didn't follow her that closely. I just thought that it was terrible timing for a pretty talented person who had potential and was gaining a lot of momentum-if I am doing the math right, her first album came out when she was like, 7 months pregnant.
I just googled and she did have a show!!

All my faves
On a serious note, Charli XCX although she's still trying and somewhat relevant
Several British bands form the 90s starting from Take That

Holly Valance Agreed. I'll take 'Kiss Kiss' and 'Naughty Girl' but you can keep 'Down Boy'. :sip2: Also she f**ked things up for herself with poor management decisions.

Holly was as big as her talent allowed. Her second album was decent though

Florence + the Machine. She's lost grammy's to Taylor Swift and Alabama Shakes, and even though her sales have been impressive she deserves legendary stats. Everyone else can flop.

Marina & the Diamonds. Electra Heart was a fantastic pop record. OMG, yeeeeeeeees Marina is literally my love, all 3 of her records were really good yet very different from one another She is also a gorgeous queen and great live Florence + the Machine. She's loss grammy's to Taylor Swift and Alabama Shakes, and even though her sales have been impressive she deserves legendary stats. Everyone else can flop. Also yeeeeeeees Florence + the Machine are literally too good for the world, just every song they have is just so well crafted imo
