...Playing a lot of HOUSE music lately?? I believe he once quoted that he wanted to be more than simply a trance D.J. He's pretty much made that obvious, with his last two In Search Of Sunrise CD packages (4 and 5), of which there are many house and techno tunes featured.

I have to ask WHAT IS HE THINKING!!!! Tiesto has released 3 unbelievable trance albums (In My Memory, Just Be, Parade of the Athletes) even if the latter had only a select few new songs, it's still great. Oh my, his next artist album (please come soon ) should be awesome, c'mon Tiesto, enough with the house. House music is alright, but I'm a trance fanatic and ISOS 5 was an insult to one of the best trance complilations series ever made.

I think it's because Tiësto doesn't want to be typecast as simply a trance D.J. and nothing more. The same seems to apply to Ferry Corsten, who was basically a trance D.J. himself, but has been experimenting with techno. Same with ATB. And if you noticed, Armin's latest artist CD, Shivers, contains a few ambient/techno tracks as well.
The world knows Tiësto's specialty is trance, but I suppose he too is at a point where he really wants to experiment. I thought In Search Of Sunrise 4/5 were excellent CDs. But you're right; it's time he drop some entirely new trance on the dance floor. I think his venture into house and techno is why PvD took his number 1 spot in last year's DJmag poll.
