There were moments last year that made us scream in joy, and give us hope for music... and then there were moments that made us boo, cringe, or make us want to rip off our ears entirely. What were your favorite and least favorite moments of 2017?
Some of my favorite moments were the switch up in DNA., the whistle not in Praying, and the guitar solo in Something Just Like This, and some of my least favorite moments were the "Oh, 'cause she's dead!" part in Look What You Made Me Do, the beginning.... whatever it's called in Ready For It, and the Goat Synths in Mi Gente(Although this was in the entire song, but still).

Favourite: Most of what Kesha did. Like, everything. Least Favourite: Any part of Willy Wonka by Macklemore. Favourite Pulse Moment: People's reactions to my steamroller post. Least Favourite Pulse Moment: (I have two) 1. (if this counts, since this thread was made after this happened) Secrets being last place in the Self Empowerment RD. 2. Praying missing out on #1 on the Hot 100 YE RD.

I'm assuming from the op this is about moments IN the songs themselves?
Best: Too many to point out favorites Worst: Opening of Body Like A Back Road

Praying missing out on #1 on the Hot 100 YE RD. Favorite: Shape Of You making people MAD! Successful Black rappers making people MAD! Post Malone making people MAD! Camila Cabello making people MAD! Streaming making people MAD! Least Favorite: The Swish Swish lyric video with that woman who looks like a cross between Donatella and Big Ang (tbh a bunch of stuff from Witness could go here, but I selected the mold of the underbelly). Edit: Oops, yeah maybe changing the title to moments in songs may be helpful. 'Moments in 2017 music' comes across as a much bigger net than that.

Worst: -Ed Sheeran making/(at the very least) writing the worst songs of his career -The "girl~" part in do re mi -Mainstream rap in general, as usual -"My new bitch yellow, s h e b l o w t h a t d i c k l i k e a c e l l o"

Mine:
1. The pre-chorus in "Look What You Made Me Do". 2. Literally every single second of "Sober II (Melodrama)" by Lorde. 3. Same with #2 for "Praying" but focus on the background "oooh oooooh"s in the chorus and the second half of the second verse. 4. The opening verse in "Witness". 5. The trap beats in synthpop songs by Lorde, Taylor and Tove Lo. 6. The chord switch and the way Kendrick sings "They won't take me out my element, nah, take me out my element" 7. The first drop in Charlie's "Attention" cause as he said himself, it's like a glorious anti-drop. 8. The second drop in "It Ain't Me" which basically lasts till the end of the song. 9. The last minute of "Sign Of The Times". 10. The post-chorus of "Medicine" by Kelly Clarkson.
