...um Akon has MANY hits (though I kind of wish he didn't tbh) I think that his post specifically meant since 2010. But I could be wrong. You are correct bro.

Akon did not have any hits as a lead artist from 2010. From 2010, he hasn’t had any hits as a featured artist either... or songs at all. He had Play Hard with Guetta in 2013 which was a barely moderate hit, but even that was 5 years ago. Back when he was relevant, he had plenty of lead hits alongside his features. Eh, he has had Sexy B*tch was another hit.

We forgot the king of the features but no hits on his own - Ty Dolla Sign. Work From Home, Sucker For Pain, Swalla and now Psycho. His only top 40 hit (#29) was with B.o.B - Paranoid and I don't even remember that song..

"Angel" by Akon debuted in 2010. That's his only charting song this year.

Agree with Mikky Ekko but Wynter has had Dance hits and I would argue that she's at least better known for her Dance hits rather than being the female vocalist on Flo Rida's song. If you keep up with music outside the US at all you'd recognize Wynter's solo music.
"Dirty Talk" in particular, which made Billboard's top 20 YE dance chart, is probably her more recognizable one. I suppose she doesn't have hits in the traditional sense but then, that's my trouble with the term to begin with - its relative.
Re: Wynter (just to murk the waters up a little lol) 'Dirty Talk' was actually huge in Australia, 9 weeks top 10 on the ARIA chart (including three consecutive weeks at #1) and 21 weeks on chart in total. It also finished at #19 on the year-end chart for 2011. It also went to #8 in Ireland - I love that song, it was on the radio all the time here

Why are you guys hung up on Akon in 2010, in particular? There were no parameters on when the artist had a hit in the OP.
Anyway, I was going to say Jon Bellion but then I remembered "All Time Low".
I was also thinking Phoebe Ryan but even her features haven't been that big so not sure she counts.
Olivia O'Brien for sure fits the bill though.

I suppose that's an example of a song that probably would've charted a lot higher in the streaming era.

Totally agree, 3x platinum for a #48 song is pretty awesome and I assume more than a half of these units coming from streaming. Def more popular than Paranoid.

Here's another one that is not mentioned. Majid Jordan from Hold On We're Going Home, although Something About You should have been a hit.
