Puddle Of Mudd certainly have a lot of pressure on them with four top 5 singles off Come Clean.
Without hearing it I'll say: #3

The band is progressing in baby steps, but definitely not leaps and bounds. It isn't quite as generic sounding as the singles on their debut. But it's weird, because it seems like Wesley is trying to sound like a pop-punk singer instead of his normal corporate, macho-rock vocals. Nothing brilliant here, but better than I expected.

"Away From Me" sounds like it could have been lifted from their last album, not that it's a bad thing.

Can't wait to hear it. Does anyone have a link to a place where I can stream or d/l the song?

I heard this on my active rock station yesterday. It was a bit different than what I was expecting, but it's not bad. I like it more than their first and last singles off the previous album, but not as much as the middle two.

SyrupBoy, you'd love The Spy, 'cuz I don't recall that radio station ever touching POM. Also, you should look at that "The Music" section, and see what great stuff is on there.

I gave this a listen today. Here's how I'd rank it in comparison to their other songs:
1. "Drift & Die" 2. "Blurry" 3. "She Hates Me" 4. "Away From Me" 5. "Control"

Sounds like a great station! Where can I listen? i'd suggest listening to that station only if you adore many older songs, and the same songs over 20 times a day.

This reminds me a lot of "Gasoline" by Seether---in the sense that they are both kinda catchy and very very bland. Hopefully this will grow on me because I liked 50% of the Come Clean singles (the middle two). And hopefully Puddle Of Mudd have something else planned for us.

This song is disappointingly, but unsurprisingly awful. They're not very musically talented, so the chord progression just sounds like generic mush. Wesley's not a very imaginative lyricist either, so again, his words are very bland and uncreative, flogging the "non-specific angst from a dysfunctional relationship" horse some more.
It amazes me that they're capable of "Blurry," which, while it wasn't all that original, seems like Beethoven next to their other 4 singles.
Here's the order I prefer their singles: 1. Blurry
2. Control 3. Drift & Die 4. Away From Me
5. She Hates Me

I heard a song with the line "Away From Me" but I didn't recognize the voice as Wes. I thought it sounded like The Offspring.

I like this song allot. It's not as annoying as "She Hates Me" and not as cheesy as "Blurry". It does sound a little bit different shouldn't do to bad top 5 definitely.
