K.I.S.S. (Keep It Sexy & Simple) is Mýa's second studio album released in Japan (sixth overall) in April 2011. Approximately, eight months later K.I.S.S. was released in December 2011 worldwide, digitally. It is considered her most club and pop orientated set to date. Despite harsh criticism from mainstream outlets, K.I.S.S. in essence is a much better and lively album than her predecessor Sugar & Spice (2008).

Totally hear you that it feels more festive than Sugar & Spice. It's definitely more consistent.
I really like Rear View Mirror, Take Him Out, Earthquake, Mess Up My Hair, Love Me Some You, Love Comes, Love Goes, and Evolve.

S&S was made specifically with the Japanese market in mind so I always view it through that lens. K.I.S.S. is a much more solid R&B project from her and contains some unsung gems in her catalog, primarily Mess Up My Hair, Take Him Out and Mr. Incredible.

I loved a decent amount of tracks from this release. I feel like “Earthquake” came out in the IS first and I purchased it, but got over it quickly due to the “chorus. However I was obsessed with the next song I purchased “Take Him Out” ft Spice. That song was hot. The love didn’t end there, “Mess Up My Hair” was my jam. Rhythmic bop! “Fabulous Life” was pop gold to me. I still bop to it here and there. I also liked the title track and the song “Evolve”. I didn’t purchase them at the time, but I thought two of the other ballads on the release were pretty good. “Problem and Solution” was one of them. A cute midtempo ballad with a beat. “Fugitive Of Love” was another track I was into and kind of liked the midtempo ballad “Love Me Some You”. There were 2 different versions on there. One was a duet with Marques Houston and a solo version. I may have liked the solo version better… This release is similar to “Fear Of Flying and “Moodring” in my opinion. Rhythmic, Pop and RnB all in one. The mastering on some tracks aren’t the best but, what can you do? I wish she would go back to stuff like this over her “Smooth Jones” sound.
On a side note the song “Runnin Back” isn’t on the version at all on Apple Music today. No listening at all for it??
