I believe on another message board stevienice stated this was the most "pop" sounding Iron Maiden song to date. I couldn't agree more. It sounds like it could have been on Top 40 radio during the 1980's.

You know something, for a second I thought I was going prematurely senile or something, I had sworn I had posted about this song but couldn't remember where. Thanks for remembering. And my assessment still stands, unfortunately it lost 12 plays and fell off the rock top 30 list as of 9/26.

I heard WD but I didn't like it. Iron Maiden needs to give up! They're just another mindless 80s metal band, albeit one that did have at least one excellent track: Flight of Icarus. There might have been one or two others but that's the only one that comes to mind at the moment.

Yeah I guess some of their stuff is pretty spotty or pretentious, besides "flight..." from the album Piece Of Mind, theres also "The trooper." Powerslave had some interesting stuff on it, "rime of the ancient mariner" and Number Of The Beast had its moments as well.
