This song was the second track on Jay Z's 6th album, The Blueprint (2001). It wasn't ever released as a single but received much popularity due to it being one of the biggest and most popular diss track. The 2nd verse is a diss on Prodigy of Mobb Deep and the 3rd verse is a diss on Nas. It was produced by Kanye West and has inspired many songs.

I wouldn't consider this to be one of the original diss tracks given the stuff between Eazy-E/Ruthless & Dre/Death Row, as well as Hit 'Em Up that was half a decade old by this time.
Though Ether ultimately emerged as more infamous, this is still great in its own right.

One of my favorite tracks from the album. I love the Doors sample (the instrumental).
That Jay-Z & Nas beef was serious during that era.
