This song was released as the first single from Dr. Dre's debut solo album, The Chronic in 1992. It is Snoop Dogg's debut single. It peaked at #2 on the Hot 100, #1 on US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and #11 on the Year End 1993 chart. It has been certified platinum and it often called one of the best hip hop songs ever. One of my favorite songs ever.

lol, I remember this video. One of the classic songs from the 90s. The funniest part in the video was when that little boy was staring at a beautiful woman passing by.

Such a classic and a landmark record for hip-hop, it was never the same after this hit. The Chronic is my favorite album of the 90s.

Perhaps one of the Dr. Dre's greatest creations and made the west coast rap sound dominant in the early-to-mid 1990s. I heard this song a lot on the radio whether it was B96 or WGCI in my market. I don't ever get tired of this one.

It’s a mutha****in classic. lol. I believe it shifted the sound of hip hop as well as R&B. After this song came out, the sound was becoming less upbeat and more laid back.
This is one of my favorite rap songs (the radio version) from my childhood.

Snoop came in with this, What's My Name? and Gin n Juice, and just brought the HEAT out of the gate. Three of the best hip hop songs of that decade.

Love it.
This samples the Leon Haywood song "I Want'a Do Something Freaky To You".
