1. beerbongs & bentleys - Post Malone
When White Iverson became huge in 2016, I never thought Post would get this big. After I heard rockstar, I knew B&B would be a great album. Sure enough, it was. Full of hits. In my opinion, almost every song on the album has the potential to be a hit. Great album.
2. DAYTONA - Pusha T
Before the album, I wasn't a huge Pusha fan. I had heard some of his music and liked him but wasn't really into him. After I heard this album, the first time I thought it was fantastic. I loved all 7 songs. Kanye did a great job on production.
3. Ye - Kanye West
Kanye has always been one of my favorite artists. When I heard he was dropping an album this year, I was so excited. Although the album wasn't what I expected it to be, I still loved it and though it was great.
4. Kids See Ghosts - Kanye West & Kid Cudi
After hearing Ghost Town, I knew this album would be great and it was. I was very pleasantly surprised by how great it was. I loved all the samples Kanye used on it. The intro was fire too.
5. Camila - Camila Cabello
I was never a huge fan of Camila's. I knew who she was in Fifth Harmony but that's about it. Then Bad Things came out and I instantly became a huge fan of hers. I was so excited for this album. I loved Havana and thought it was one of the best songs of 2017. This album was great.
6. NASIR - Nas
I've always thought that was one of the best rappers of all time. When I heard that he was working with Kanye, I knew this album would be a masterpiece. It was not what I expected, but it was good.
7. Scorpion - Drake
I just heard this album for the first time on Thursday night so I haven't gotten a good feel of the album yet. I love the way Drake did this album and the double sided idea. Nice for What is a great song too.
8. Black Panther Soundtrack - Kendrick Lamar & Various Artists
I was very excited after hearing the announcement that Top Dawg and Kendrick Lamar would be producing the album. Sure enough, it was great. It included great songs like All the Stars, King's Dead, Paramedic!, and Pray for Me. Great soundtrack for a great movie.
9. Culture II - Migos
Culture was one of my favorite albums from 2017 and I was very excited for this. I liked Motorsport and loved Stir Fry so I thought the album would be great. It definitely was not as great as it's predecessor but it was good. I think there were some songs that didn't need to be included on the album and it was a little too long and repetitive.
10. TESTING - A$AP Rocky
Rocky has always been one of my favorite rappers. I loved his previous two albums so I was expecting a lot from this one. Unfortunately, it was not near as good as his other two. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was really good but I loved his other two. On this album, I liked how Rocky tested out new sounds and experienced with new things. That is something I really admire in music. Good album that was overshadowed that week.
Honorable Mentions
Invasion of Privacy
KOD
Dirty Computer
