Going for adds on October 29th at on rock. Yay! I'm excited to hear this because they are my favorite band of all-time. This must be from their forthcoming "greatest hits" album. I'm getting it! I own all their albums, so I wanna get this one to complete my collection. Here is a clip from the MP3: www.stonetemplepilots.com/allinthesuit.mp3It sounds great!! This is the tracklisting of their "Thank-You" greatest hits CD... 01 Vasoline 02 Down 03 Wicked Garden 04 Big Empty 05 Plush 06 Big Bang Baby 07 Creep 08 Lady Picture Show 09 Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart 10 Interstate Love Song 11 All In The Suit That You Wear (NEW TRACK) 12 Sex Type Thing 13 Days Of The Week 14 Sour Girl 15 Plush (Acoustic)

I REALLY like this song from the clip I heard. I hope alternative radio doesn't ignore it.

The Stone Temple Pilots are definitely one of my favorite bands. The clip sounds good... not one of their best, but not bad.

I hope I at least get to hear this on the radio. If it doesn't, I will continue to bitch and insult rock radio as it is. However, I don't know about anyone else, but that track-listing is very dissapointing. I know it's a greatest hits album, but only one song from Shangri-La Dee Da? I know it's *greatest* hits, but still, albums should be more evenly represented on compilations. Also, the track listing is not in order, which I don't like of greatest hits albums. Also, couldn't they have put something more than including the acoustic "Plush"? That makes only ONE new song!! Also, it seems like they could have put more songs on there. But since it's STP, I'll likely end up buying it.

I wanted "Pretty Penny" on there, but I don't think it was a single

Actually, it was a single, but was overshadowed by the "Dancing Days" cover.

the song is pretty good.... not sure how i'll like it (considering my rock station will either kill it, or ignore it that might have an effect on how i like it)

And so am I.
I'll be disgusted if this doesn't make the top 15 (for the year end issue). The format owes itself a favor, let alone STP, to just cut down on the Plush and Interstate Love Song for just a little while and spin this new one a little. It's embarassing for all these bands that make up so much of the gold portion of every station's playlist, that the only ones that come back with a smash hit is Nirvana, and Audioslave with an asterisk.

Personally, I'd rather them play Plush and Interstate over this one. Not that it's bad, but it's just so average for them.

I think I've said it at least one or two other places, but I like this song better than anything off the last album. And I've only heard this 1 1/2 times so far.
BTW, how are people writing 1/2 and having it come up small? I'd type it all the time (as opposed to spelling it out) if I knew how to shrink it.

alt-0189 also works for ½.
Other fractions: ¼: alt-0188 ¾: alt-0190
I wish we could make any fraction turn out small, but we're restricted to the three fractions that are set as actual characters.

Personally, I prefer the three songs that are right behind it on today's update.

Personally, I prefer the three songs that are right behind it on today's update. Hmm...a new Chevelle song among them. It only took those guys a year to release a third single. I bet more than a few stations can't be bothered. No wonder I haven't heard it.

It's just a major pet-peeve of mine when a radio station both ignores a band's new song and overplays their older material. It's happened with AFI (and will probably happen twice), Chevelle, The Ataris (god, will I ever even hear "The Saddest Song"), and now it's taking place with STP. All play-it-safe radio decisions tend to get on my nerves, but this one really bugs the living s[red][/red]hit out of me.

I think if they were still together and they were making an all new album of songs that this would make a really good choice for a first single. It's not their best stuff, but I would say compares well to other songs in alternative.

I'm loving this song more and more. This is a better first-single than "Days of the week". It doesn't beat their other first singles "Big Bang Baby" or "Vasoline". What was the first single from their first album? Was it "Plush" or "Creep"? Either way, this doesn't beat them. STP are among my top 3 bands of all time (along with Moist and Guns N' Roses)

No, it was "Sex Type Thing". "Plush" was second.
