125k for Drake so 20k decrease DESPITE the IMF video? Ariana will have no problem beating Drake and Travis Scott will probably drop below 150k by that time as well.
Nicki's release on the other hand has been so messy that I have no idea how it's gonna work out.

Nicki's release on the other hand has been so messy that I have no idea how it's gonna work out. Lol, did you think a music video was gonna magically boost the sales of a 5-week old album? Also, both Ariana and Nicki are doing bundles for their albums so they were always gonna do better numbers in their first weeks than Travis in his second/third or Drake in his sixth/seventh week. Nicki and Ariana's pure sales figures should be strong. Their only concern is if they'll be able to pull enough streams to add to that. I predict a huge fall off for the both of them in their second weeks, though. Drake will probably go back to number 1 after a month or so.

^One thing to note is that YouTube video views don't count toward the parent album of the song. Granted, one released could boost the song's digital sales and streaming elsewhere or at least prevent them from dropping as much as they would otherwise.
That said, I can see that only 11 songs from Scorpion remain in top 200 latest Spotify update which clearly shows the declining popularity of the songs from there as I would expect almost everywhere.

I still dont understand how The Greatest Showman is selling so well. It's really a marvel. It's been selling tons all year long and it's showing no signs of slowing down. It's really incredible to see.

Loads of songs off Scorpion were always gonna drop off, especially songs off the side B of the album that run a lot slower. Drake has always pulled most of his streams from Apple Music so he'll be okay. He has a huge #1 single to ride out the rest of the year with, he's got a tour that'll keep his streaming figures steady in the coming months and knowing Drake, he'll probably do it all over again with a new album next year, so it's whatever to him, probably.

Ever since it was removed and reuploaded it hasn't really recovered for some reason. In My Feelings explicit version is #33 on Apple Music.

With Queen's release today, in theory, the battle for #1 would be between it and Astroworld next week.

Cactus Jack/Grand Hustle/Epic’s Travis Scott has proven he’s a force to be reckoned with. His third proper studio album, ASTROWORLD, has officially scored the second-biggest bow of the year—behind only YMCMB/Republic megastar Drake, who was finally dethroned in week six. Scott debuts on our Top 50 Chart this week with approximately 553k. It’s worth noting that this marks Epic’s biggest bow in eight years, following Sade’s Soldier of Love, which dropped in 2010 with 481k.
Drake’s no slacker, though. The behemoth that is Scorpion scores another 120k, bringing his RTD closer to the 3m mark. Republic labelmate Post Malone, meanwhile, holds at #3, tacking on 58k with beerbongs & bentleys in 2018’s third-biggest debut’s 15th week out.
As for this week’s other key newcomers, Mac Miller’s Swimming (Warner Bros.) enters the chart at #4 with 57k, while YG’s Stay Dangerous (Def Jam) rounds out the Top 5 with a little less than 56k. There’s also Moneybagg Yo’s latest mixtape, Bet on Me (N-Less/Interscope), which comes in at #11 with roughly 26k.
Jason Aldean’s Rearview Town (Broken Bow) enjoys a nice little boost, busting back into the Top 25, as his recent, multi-week Country radio chart-topper, “You Make It Easy,” becomes the genre’s first song to go platinum in 2018. Another country artist, Kane Brown, also gains some momentum. The RCA Nashville/Zone 4 artist glides #40-33 with his eponymous set, following the release of new standalone single “Weekend.”
When it comes to marketshare, SME is #1 with 42%, UMG follows with 39% and WMG is #3 with 18%, while the indies claim 1%.
Streeting this week are albums by YMCMB/Republic’s Nicki Minaj, TenThousand/Caroline’s Trippie Redd and Atlantic’s Jason Mraz.
Anyway, it’s apparently National Lazy Day at press time. We’re sure there’s a joke there…

Wow! Amazing numbers for Travis. Obviously inflated by merch bundles, but it's whatever. I'm interested in seeing his pure sale numbers next week. He's pretty much fallen off on Spotify, but he's still holding strong on Apple Music. Should pull at least 200-230k SPS next week, no?

Personally, I'm just glad someone other than Drake was able to outsell Post Malone 😂

I think he'll dip below 200K next week. I think Nicki will be able to dethrone him for #1.

He isn't the streaming giant that Post Malone is and while he was able to pull a lot of streams in his first week, he lacks the momentum that artists like Drake and Post Malone have on the streaming end of things. The nosedive his pure sales are about to take, though, lmao. Can't wait to see the dip. Great numbers for him, though. Hopefully, Nicki does massive numbers, too.

Travis Scott is like J. Cole. Both have huge first weeks and then drop hugely the weeks after.

He has a huge fanbase and he can command their attention for at least a week. He just isn't a proven force on streaming. He usually drops and dips away, kinda like J. Cole does.

I still dont understand how The Greatest Showman is selling so well. It's a hit musical movie, no longer in theaters but still doing so well on home video sales so that's where the weekly pure sales are coming from. It's just attracting people who don't normally buy music. Had the music sales climate have been great, it probably would have been pulling Frozen type of sales but still over 1M in this era is so fantastic

^One thing to note to note is that Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight had 88k SPS out of which 53k where pure sales in its first week. So Astroworld, even taking into account the merch album bundle, doing well in pure sales shouldn't be a surprise, while the songs from the album getting streamed as much as they did during this week should be considered one.
