This isn't a complete list but it's a good chunk of it. Self-written top 10 hits without a co-writing credit are not all that common in the grand scheme of things. Some may not agree with including group hits written by one person, but I personally think they should count or at least be mentioned. I've also noticed some discrepancies between the Hot 100 crediting and what it shows on Wikipedia.
Also, there are many well-known, self-written classics that just missed the top 10 or didn't chart well or at all due to chart rules, etc.

Usually songwriting (at least for big hits) is a collaborative effort, but given that there have been thousands of top ten hits, this list should still be very long. I was also very surprised to find out recently that Debbie Gibson was the sole writer on all of her top 10 hits (which also all managed to go top 5), especially for a teen pop artist like her. Along with Prince, it must be extremely rare for a major pop artist to be the sole writer on all or almost all of their hits. That might be a more interesting list to see. Debbie Gibson still holds the record for the youngest female artist ever to write, produce, and perform a #1 hit.
