15 songs off Views are certified platinum or higher. The rest are all gold eligible at least. I think by the end of next year, the rest of those songs would be certified platinum. Is there any other album in RIAA history with that many platinum or higher certified songs?

I'm also interested in seeing how many non-single(s) songs off Scorpion will be eligible for platinum certification by the end of the year.

Is there any other album in RIAA history with that many platinum or higher certified songs? This is impressive but maybe it's getting too easy to reach Gold? Like, that's meant to represent a hit song and most of these were probably streamed passively while hearing the whole album. The 21P album is all certified (14 tracks) yet I wouldn't call more than 5 of them hits in any way.

I know that Blurryface (Twenty One Pilots) was the first album ever to get all the songs certified gold at least. But I'm sure Views has more songs certified platinum than Blurryface

The song doesn't really need this challenge to get more YT views, does it?:

The numbers that you posted in the other thread are the "last 7 days" (actually, they count 8... from Friday to Friday... Saturday to Saturday, etc.). The new chart, is for the tracking week (Friday-Thursday), but they aren't counting user generated videos (In My Feelings, FEFE, Better Now) and remixes (Boo'd Up).

I am starting to see the charts less and less "accurate" no one at my school plays IMF, calling the song, "annoying", "not good" and "old". I feel like the new songs trending are "FEFE", any Travis Scott, and ofc "Mooo" (hahaha honestly never gave this song a thorough listen before).

I feel like the new songs trending are "FEFE", any Travis Scott, and ofc "Mooo" (hahaha honestly never gave this song a thorough listen before). I've noticed this pattern for years with all sorts of songs, to be honest. Especially with long-running number-ones. For example, Call Me Maybe seemed bigger before it was number-one than it did during its last month when it was actually number-one. That's probably the most extreme example I can think of, it seemed to me like its popularity peaked in about April but it was at the top of the charts in August. I think one thing that is a factor is that older people (by "older" I mean basically anybody who's not a teenager lol) might be less up-to-date with new music. I've found that as I have gotten older I sometimes only discover songs later on. For example, I only listened to Love Lies for the first time the other day (and I love it, btw!). So people like me will keep that song high in the charts whilst teenagers might have been listening to it for months already and are starting to get bored by now.

This is why it is a NATIONAL chart and not a local one. Somewhere In My Feelings is being streamed like crazy.
Different areas of the country, different neighborhoods, schools, different people will all have their own favorites.
Currently In My Feelings is the dominant song

Yeah, I have no idea how anyone can think that would chart on the Hot 100 much less #1 in two weeks.

Plus, working at a university, I’d bet money that many institutions across the country are playing the top “hits” like In My Feelings & Girls Like You to connect with their freshmen, for example. Same with probably every major back to school event.

The Hot 100 is just as accurate, I think. However, I think streaming makes the chart focus more on a small group of people than everyone. If you buy a song, you buy it once, it affects the chart once, and that is it. Radio is free to anyone and is pretty much for everyone. However, since each stream is tracked and counts, 'small' groups of people listening to a song can have a huge impact on the charts
For example, before Spotify, fans could only keep songs afloat for so long based on iTunes. You buy the song once, and although you can buy it again for friends, the chances of someone being able to (or a large amount of people being able to) an a large scale is probably zero. So for a song to be big, it had to become popular outside the fan base as well. However, if your fan base is big enough now, their streams can get you very high without needing to go far outside the fan base. Likewise, streaming has a different demographic and only so many people even know that it exists, and so know what is big on it. I think that is what creates the feeling of "no one I know likes this song but it's #1??"

Data's speaks for themselves and even kworb says that Taylor still has the record #lwymmd Except that the screenshot from kworb says "Counts views on one particular day, not the views in the first 24 hours." And BTS beat Taylor's record for the first 24 hours.
