3rd pre-release track released off the upcoming album of the same name. The most pop sounding of the 3 and could be crossover for her if they release it as a single. Lyrics are CCM without beating you over the head with it.

Least favorite of the three released tracks, but this is still AMAZING!

Next single. Impacts all Christian formats on January 4, according to PlayMPE.

I'm sorry, WHAT!? If they wanted an uptempo, go with "Still Rolling Stones". "Rescue" better be a single at some point though

The PlayMPE release mentioned this outperforming the next most popular album track by nearly half...and (on Spotify, at least), it really is. I'm surprised, considering "Still Rolling Stones" came out first and just got an Ellen performance (well, that and it's far better).

What Lauren said about conservative fans criticizing her for performing on Ellen (because DeGeneres is gay): “I think the second we start drawing lines around which people are able to be approached and which aren’t, we’ve already completely missed the heart of God." “I don’t have all the answers in life and I’m definitely not gonna act like I do, but the one thing that I know for sure is I can’t choose who I’m supposed to be kind to and who I’m supposed to show love to and who I’m not, because that’s the mission right? Be who Christ was to everyone.” www.billboard.com/amp/articles/news/8483055/lauren-daigle-criticism-for-performing-on-ellen

Loved her response. Ellen was a HUGE platform for her to share the Gospel on and regardless of your beliefs on what the Bible does/doesn't say about homosexuality, it shouldn't matter at all if Lauren was invited to perform on the show to promote her career and Jesus Christ.
Very proud to be a fan of her and Ellen

Her response was right on. I'm surprised she got criticism, although I guess if you get big enough that will always happen with every move.

Why are you surprised she was criticized, though? She is a Christian artist and fundamental Christians believe homosexuality is a sin, so it's no surprise at all that some of her religious fans have issue with her going on Ellen. I'm proud to be a fan because her response was classy and honest and displayed God's love and acceptance. Also, the title track is cute.

There is no basis for the criticism. Indeed, for Jews it WAS considered sin to enter a gentile's house on certain days, a practice thoroughly condemned in the New Testament. To the point, her response was right on, the criticism would show a fundamental lack of understanding of the Christisn faith.

LOL it's not a Jew vs Gentile thing. You're aware of the Bible's perceived stance on homosexuality, particularly the Old Testament, right?

LOL it's not a Jew vs Gentile thing. You're aware of the Bible's perceived stance on homosexuality, particularly the Old Testament, right? Perceived? Look, I'm surprised because as just one example, Kevin Leman, a well known Christian author and speaker has a son that for a number of years was a writer on the Ellen show. No backlash that I know of. I pointed out the Jew vs Gentile to highlight the notion that the New Testament fairly well wipes away the notion of "staying away from sinners" since we couldn't very well stay away from ourselves.

The "lack of understanding" point comes off as nothing but a No True Scotsman fallacy. You see, they aren't real Christians. They don't understand their own faith. Not really how it works, I'm afraid. If there wasn't a basis for the criticism, there would be none. Whether it's bigotry or the Bible, a large number of Christians don't agree in gay people having equality when it comes to marriage or adoption.

Wow, I'm trying to figure out how your last sentence has anything to do with the discussion here. I didn't think we were talking about marriage or adoption. I thought we were talking about an artist appearing on the Ellen show.

We're talking about the reactions of Christian conservatives to an artist appearing on the Ellen show. And since their gripe was Degeneres being gay, the point is valid.

Lauren performed this on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday.
Still not sure why they went with this as the next single, but hopefully it does well.

I’m actually okay with this being a single now. It’s still not my favorite on the album but it’s going to be a nice tempo change to break up so many incredible ballads as singles for this era. This has grown on me more as well since I’ve listened to it over the last few weeks
