The final track on the album does much better than the final track from Knock On The Sky, as ‘She Gets What I Deserve’ leaves us in 8th place. Told from the point of view of the “other woman” it weaves a well crafted tale of jealously and then regret. There were some bottom ranks for this one, but I was happy to see it do pretty well as it was up against it being the album’s slowest ballad AND final track. There is usually some early-in-the-tracklist bias in these things. Austin’s take:I think this song is beautiful and is perfect album closer. I love the stripped down instrumentation and I think the fiddle right before the bridge really brings home the sadness in the song and the regret the narrator has from being the “mistress” in this situation. ClevelandRox got it! 'She doesn't know me by name' is the opening lyric!

Ok I have a question and I'm going to ask it to fearlessarrow specifically lol. I'm curious as to how you have "Burn Down The House" as your last place but "Kickin' In" @ #2 because they are essentially the same song lol. They sound SO much alike imo

"She Gets What I Deserve" is so underrated. It is easily one my favourite songs of theirs.

Sooo just caught up! So happy "I Wish I Were The Rain" didn't get done dirty from KOTS!! Amazing amazing song and easily my favorite from them! This album is going well! I knew "Healin' Side" would be out early but it's gorgeous Always really loved the stripped back feel of "She Gets What I Deserve" and was hoping it standing out in that way would carry it a little higher. Ugh I'm still so sad they never got a 5th album out. austin As their biggest fan push them back into studio for one last time haha

I am left wondering "What do I do now?" now that my #2 is gone from the Rankdown. A perfect country number, the song illustrates a woman with no idea what she is supposed to do now without her boo on those long, Sunday afternoons.
Austin's take: This has always been one of my favorites from them. I think this song did a great job of carrying over the country radio feel that was so successful for 'Don't Worry 'bout A Thing' and I really thought this was going to be a hit single for them at the time. I see I was mostly alone in that but that is OK and its still a gem <3.

This one was actually on track to be the highest ranking track not featured in the Singles RD for a LONG portion of the submission process, but in the end missed the Top 5 and that honor goes to "Whatever it Takes." This one is more on the pop side of country, but also felt radio-ready at the time.
Austin's take: I really love this one. The vocals are fantastic and the production is contemporary without feeling un-SHeDAISY-like. I also love the "green, green grass as far as your big brown eyes can see" line. Stands out in their catalog, for sure.

"What Do I Do Now" may not be in my top 4 but I probably would've chose it as a single for them had I been in position to make the choice. Fantastic song that I think sounds like a smash.
"Bring It On Back" I felt bad for putting in my bottom 3 because I do love it, but it gets lost among all the other great tracks here!

I literally listened to this album at least 5 times when making my list, and for some reason "What Do I Do Now" was the one that most consistently got lost in the shuffle for me. It IS a good song, and I would never skip it, but for some reason I just never could make myself dig it as much as I digged the majority of the album :/ I'm okay seeing it do so well though, 'cause it will probably keep growing on me. "Bring It On Back" is one of the best album tracks here I LOVE the end of the chorus, with the ascending sustained notes before they sing the title. Very powerful melody, and I am excited to see it nearly make the top 5! I'm rooting hard for "23 Days"! Keep going, bb!!!!

Some of you were DESPERATE for this one to keep going while others were DESPERATE for it to be revealed, as the song from the Desperate Housewives Soundtrack leaves us at #5. This one was all over the place during the submission process, but didnt really stand much chance at taking out the "Big 3." In the end it settles at #5 which I think is a fine spot for it. We do lose LBTrocks ‘ #1 rank here. Austin's take: So this used to be one of my least favorite things in their entire catalog but over the years it has really grown on me to become a real jam. The video is their best video treatment by far and I just love the way Kristyn finishes the lines in the chorus. They didn't write it, but its definitely them.

At #4 we see "Whatever it Takes" doing whatever it took to be in the RD Top 5. Contemporary country in sound (this actually sounds like it came out in 2019 rather than 2006 IMO) the song started at the very bottom (with my list) and ascended all the way to #4 when I entered the final list. All of this despite THREE number 12 rankings. No more #12s remain! This did have 2 #1s! Austin’s take: This was the biggest surprise of the submission process for me. I always felt this one was a little lackluster and pedestrian, so to see so much passion for it was extremely surprising for me. It was always a big song in their setlists during the FM "era", so I guess maybe its just me who doesn't get it. I just think its an average song.

In a predictable if not sad outcome, 23 Days is the tune that bows out just shy of BOTB/Revenge of the Best contention. A song once used in Sleep Number Bed commercials, it depicts a traveling woman happy to get back home to her man (and her own bed) after 23 Days on the road. Austin’s take: This really should have been the lead single. Yeah, the chorus is simplistic, and a lot of people don't understand the "eagle" being referenced is a tour bus ("BUT EAGLES CAN FLY?!!" was a popular comment back in 2006) but the melody is infectious and its catchy as heck. Also. That. Bridge. Love this one and its classic SHeDAISY!

"In Terms of Love" pulls out a ONE POINT win over "I'm Taking The Wheel" to win the Fortunteller's Melody rankdown! This one was in the lead by a huge margin in the early goings, with Wheel closing the gap to eventually overtake it towards the end. However, our second to last list actually brought these two songs into a TIE FOR THE WIN, which d3vin44 's last minute list broke. Talk about a buzzer beater! This song deserved to do much better than its radio peak. Austin's take: I can't say enough good things about this song. It is just beautiful and Don Schlitz is a country icon and songwriting legend, so he definitely proved to be an excellent cowriter for Kristyn. I wish this one had been the huge hit they needed and it deserved to be. "I'm Taking The Wheel" speeds into second place by just one point. A natural progression from "Passenger Seat", this one seemed like the perfect single at the time as the girls had just taken control of their careers again after a Gold album and Top 10 single. Unfortunately, radio didn't support them in the same way with this album. Austin's take: While I think 23 Days was the right choice, its clear to me radio did this one dirty. Most people I know love this song, with many considering it their favorite SHeDAISY song. I really wish it had been able to climb higher on airplay, as there were so many good songs on this album waiting to be released!

Fantastic finish! I would've liked to see "23 Days" sneak ahead of ITTW but both are great so it's fine to see! 3 #12's for "Whatever It Takes" surprised me! Looooooooove how they sound on that one! And "In Terms Of Love" is in my top 3 from them, amazing song and I still to this day can't believe it was not only a flop but the final single of their career. :'( I wonder why radio dropped them so hard after this.

Not my favorite from the album, but "In Terms Of Love" is still a great song and deserving winner. Plus I'm never sad to see my favorite songwriter, Don Schlitz, win a rankdown. It was fun to revisit this great album, and equally dumbfounding that this was it for them. But such was Lyric Street's complete and utter incompetence in that era. I'm not sure radio would've given them another hit, but to never try, with a completed album to boot, was just baffling.

"God Bless The American Housewife" got robbed here!! I could definitely see it being hard to take seriously if you're not into it, but something about the persistent energy of the constant "Look at me" statements was just hella infectious and loans itself well to repeat listens. "Whatever It Takes" is definitely one of my favorite album tracks! I love the melody and the delivery, and as austin mentioned it is definitely a song that could exist in a more modern time period without problem. Like, I could hear Maddie & Tae having a huge hit with this even today. "23 Days" - I came SO close to putting this as my #1!! The chorus is an absolute ear worm, and as was mentioned the bridge is one of the most heavenly moments of their discography. austin is this technically the highest album track? I didn't think it was a single, but it was in the singles rd and I don't know why. Was it just because of the bed commercials? Lol "I'm Taking The Wheel" snagged my #1 rank from "23 Days" with my final edit. This song is just such a ball of infectious energy!!! "What's mine is mine, what's yours is mine" has got to be one of the catchiest opening and closing lines in the history of music. I love the sassy energy that it pumps into this song. Actually pretty disappointed to see this one miss the win.... "In Terms Of Love" has not aged as well for me as the previous two songs, but it is a very fitting winner. Hell, I had it at #4, so I certainly contributed to its victory! But I would have preferred ITTW or "23 Days" because they both have been on repeat since I did the rankdown, while this one I haven't listened to since I ranked it.

Lol I wanted an even 20 in the Singles Rankdown, and I didn't want to include the Rascal Flatts duet on from the Christmas Album. The commercials, video, and it being included on the digital versions of their Greatest Hits album was enough for me lol.

I'm glad that I didn't skip out on this one because I thought this was a very strong album from beginning to end. I for sure would've gravitated more to the group had their output been more in line sonically with this album as I have no doubt this'll go down as my favorite from them. I'm surprised that "23 Days" wasn't a single because it's the one song that I kept wanting to hear again and again...it especially makes for a good song to put on when out driving around. And I'm a bit surprised by some of the hate for "God Bless the American Housewife" but I happen to find it kind of catchy....I also can't listen to it without thinking of Sammy Kershaw's "National Working Woman's Holiday" lol. Anyways, I can't make any promises to austin that I'll do all of these but I will certainly make it a point to keep an open mind (other than assuming you're doing their Christmas album which you might have to twist my arm to do).

OK #Surprise Lets do another album!!!!Let's get to the most commercially successful album in their catalog and the album that started it all - THE WHOLE SHeBANG! Now as many of you know, this album also had a remix album, but we are only ranking the songs once. The album versions of the songs are above, and I will drop the remix versions below here and highlight both during reveals. If you only want to listen to one version, my recommendation is the regular album, but some of the remixes are really good and I am excited to go over them in detail during reveals! Most of you know the five singles, so this should be a quick (and I hope enjoyable) listen! Due: Sunday, April 10
