Debut single by Australian dance act Madison Avenue (DJ/Producer Andy Van and vocalist Cheyne Coates). Smash hit in Australia and the UK, but the US release only made #88 on the Hot 100, and #48 on pop radio.
I didn't like this initially, but I got onboard after the follow-up 'Who The Hell Are You' was a second consecutive local hit.

Heard this song a bunch of times on Long Island radio back in the day but never really knew what it was. Liked it though. Now it's a late 90s-early 00s dance classic for me.

I was a huge fan of this and I still love it. It was a huge local hit in the mixshows and on some of the Dance-leaning stations we had in this market at that time. I heard the original version a year or so after hearing the Madison Babe From Outer Space remix (that was the only version they played locally) and liked the nu-Disco sound of it but I prefer the MBFOS remix. It contained a lot of samples from Babe Instinct's "Disco Babes From Outer Space". It started off as a white label bootleg and then it was re-done to make it official, but for some unknown reason, the released version uses the first verse twice whereas the bootleg has both verses. That annoyed me.
