This was one of the Trance duo's most well-known songs. It was released in 1999. It is considered to be one of the greatest uplifting big room Trance songs of the late 90s/early 2000s. Then new to the Trance scene, Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren did remixes. Sven Maes of (aka Svenson) did a remix based on the original which is on several editions of the single. The original Svenson Goes To The Love Parade Mix
This is one of my all time Trance favorites. I had just gotten into DJing and I used to listen to a late night Dance music mixshow on KYLD called House Nation (I would always set a timer on my stereo to record the first two hours on a 120 minute cassette tape). In 2000, one of the DJs, St. John (who is now on KMVQ) began to play the Beam vs. Cyrus remix during his sets. I called into his afternoon drive show the following week to ask him about it. He only gave me the name of the song and the artist. I eventually found the 12" single and it had that version on it. The Svenson Goes To The Love Parade mix was on the single too. I like that mix too. I do like the original, but it is not as complex as the SGTTLP or B vs. C mixes. The Beam vs. Cyrus mix is hard, driving, and progressive. It uses the main riff and the spoken vocal sample. The uplifting element heard in the original is incorporated into this mix but it's a totally different melody. It's a nice blend of hard and soft.
