Thank U Next - #1 second week
Panic, the group-turned-solo-project of Brendon Urie, earns its first Hot 100 top 10 since its debut entry, "I Write Sins Not Tragedies," hit No. 7 in August 2006. The act's 12-year, two-month and three-week wait between weeks in the top 10 (Sept. 2, 2006-Nov. 24, 2018) is the longest since Prince, following his April 21, 2016, death, returned to the region with both "Purple Rain" (with the Revolution) and "When Doves Cry" after 21 years, 11 months and two weeks, for the first time since "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World" ranked in the top 10 (June 18, 1994-May 21, 2016).
Panic ends the longest top 10 drought between new top 10s (unlike Prince's return with prior hits) since Paul McCartney, who took 29 years and two weeks between "Spies Like Us" and "FourFiveSeconds," with Rihanna and Kanye West (Feb. 8, 1986-Feb. 21, 2015), a record gap among acts billed in lead roles on bookending songs. Dobie Gray holds the overall mark: 30 years, two months and one week between his sole two top 10s, "Drift Away" and Uncle Kracker's remake of the song, featuring Gray (May 26, 1973-Aug. 2, 2003).

Andy Williams returns to the top 10 after 47 years - biggest gap in history
Rounding out the Hot 100's top 10, Andy Williams' "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," recorded and first released in 1963, dashes 13-10, reaching the top 10 at last. It rises 8-7 on Streaming Songs (33.3 million, up 6 percent) and 50-46 on Radio Songs (26.4 million, up 5 percent), while sporting 4,000 sold (down 6 percent).
Here's a look at some of the most notable achievements for Williams and the classic carol. Longest break between Hot 100 top 10s: Williams, who died in 2012 at age 84, adds a fourth top 10 to his Hot 100 history and first since April 1971, when "(Where Do I Begin) Love Story" reached No. 9.
Ending a record gap of 47 years, eight months and three weeks, Williams blasts past the mark for the longest wait between time in the Hot 100's top 10, previously held by the late Dobie Gray, who went 30 years, two months and a week between his own "Drift Away" in 1973 and Uncle Kracker's remake of the song, featuring Gray, in 2003.
Among acts as lead artists on both bookending hits, Williams passes Paul McCartney, who spanned 29 years and two weeks between "Spies Like Us" in 1986 and "FourFiveSeconds," with Rihanna and Kanye West, in 2015.
Longest span of Hot 100 top 10s: Williams expands his span of top 10 Hot 100 hits to a record 59 years, two months and two weeks. He first appeared in the top 10 on the chart dated Oct. 12, 1959, with "Lonely Street," just over a year after the Hot 100's Aug. 4, 1958, inception. (He has now tallied top 10s in the 1950s, '60s, '70s and 2010s).
Williams bests McCartney, whose solo top 10s span 44 years and two weeks, from "Another Day"/"Oh Woman Oh Why" in 1971 to "FourFiveSeconds" in 2015. (And that's not including McCartney's iconic hits with The Beatles, who first appeared in the top 10 on Jan. 25, 1964, with "I Want to Hold Your Hand.")
From Anka & Avalon to Ari: Looking back at Williams' first week in the Hot 100's top 10 (also at No. 10), on Oct. 12, 1959, Bobby Darin's classic "Mack the Knife" led the list. Williams' latest week in the region finds him back at the same rank looking up at Grande's "Thank U, Next." "Mack" became the 20th No. 1 in the Hot 100's history; "Next" is the 1,079th.
To compare, the artists currently in the top 10 with Williams: Grande, Halsey, Scott, Marshmello, Bastille, Post Malone, Swae Lee, Panic! at the Disco, Carey, Kodak Black, Offset, Lil Baby and Gunna.
And, the artists in the top 10 with Williams in his first week in the top 10: Darin, Paul Anka, The Fleetwoods, Santo & Johnny, The Everly Brothers, Sandy Nelson, The Coasters, The Browns and Frankie Avalon.
Below "Mack the Knife" on Oct. 12, 1959, Anka ranked at No. 2 with "Put Your Head on My Shoulder" and The Fleetwoods held No. 3 with "Mr. Blue."
Sixth holiday top 10 on the Hot 100: Williams' "Wonderful" becomes only the sixth yuletide hit ever to reach the Hot 100's top 10, and the second in a year after Carey's "Christmas" (which first reached the region last holiday season), with the advent of streaming helping both songs.
Highest-Charting Holiday Songs in the Hot 100's History
No. 1 peak, four weeks, beginning Dec. 22, 1958, "The Chipmunk Song," by David Seville & The Chipmunks No. 6, Dec. 22, 2018, "All I Want for Christmas Is You," Mariah Carey No. 7, Jan. 8, 2000, "Auld Lang Syne," Kenny G No. 7, Jan. 6, 1990, "This One's for the Children," New Kids on the Block& No. 9, Feb. 21, 1981, "Same Old Lang Syne," Dan Fogelberg No. 10, Dec. 29, 2018, "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," Andy Williams
"Wonderful" first appeared on the Hot 100 just two holiday seasons ago (Jan. 7, 2017). As for holiday songs and their eligibility, or lack thereof, for the Hot 100 over the years, chart historian Joel Whitburn notes in his book Christmas in the Charts: "From 1963 through 1972, and from 1983 through 1985 [with minimal exceptions], Billboard published a seasonal Christmas Singles chart and did not chart Christmas singles on the Hot 100." Per current Hot 100 rules, in place in recent years, older songs, including seasonal titles, can rank in the top 50 if experiencing significant multi-metric gains, and multiple holiday standards re-enter or debut each season.
The Skipper, too: "Wonderful" was written by Edward Pola and George Wyle, the latter of whom also co-wrote the theme song to the classic '60s sitcom Gilligan's Island, "The Ballad of Gilligan's Island." He co-penned the latter with Sherwood Schwartz, who created Gilligan's Island and fellow beloved sitcom The Brady Bunch (and co-wrote the Brady theme, with Frank De Vol.)

I strongly suspect the Nov 24 chart will NOT be considered as part of the 2019 year. I think the chart year will run from Dec 1, 2018 to Nov 23, 2019. That will include 52 chart weeks, just as 2018 did. (And looking further ahead, I think the 2020 chart year will run from Dec 7, 2019 to Nov 28, 2020.

For reference - some of the 2018 records
The Year in Chart Achievements: BTS, Cardi B, Bruno Mars & More 12/18/2018 by Gary Trust
A look at the most notable chart numbers of 2018, from 100 to 1. As always, 2018 brought unprecedented feats, and some quirky happenings, to Billboard charts.
Let's recap 10 of the most notable achievements on Billboard tallies, on the Billboard Hot 100, Billboard 200 and more, over the past year. Explore All of Billboard's Year-End 2018 Charts
100 – Nicki Minaj became the first woman to reach 100 career Hot 100 appearances. She joined the Glee Cast (which leads with 207), Drake, Lil Wayne and Elvis Presley in the triple-digit club.
56 – Record total weeks atop Hot Latin Songs for Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito," featuring Justin Bieber. The reign began in February 2017 and ran through this August.
50 – Similarly, Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha shattered the mark for the most time atop Hot Country Songs: 50 weeks, with "Meant to Be."
36 – With Egypt Station, Paul McCartney notched his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 in over 36 years, ending the longest gap between leaders for a living artist in the chart's history. "You know, it feels really great," he told Billboard. "'Cause you can't get much higher than No. 1, you know?"
34 – Record consecutive weeks that rap songs led the Hot 100, between Drake's "God's Plan" in February and "In My Feelings" in September. Speaking of Drake …
33 – Total Hot 100 top 10s to date for Drake, who set the mark for the most among solo males. Only Madonna (38) and The Beatles (34) boast more.
26(th letter of the alphabet) – The highest-charting Hot 100 hit that begins with the letter "Z"? "ZEZE"! Kodak Black's track (featuring Travis Scott and Offset) reached No. 2 in October. It zoomed past the prior zenith: No. 8 for "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah," by Bob B. Soxx and the Blue Jeans, in 1963.
3 – Bruno Mars joined Mariah Carey and Beyoncé as the only artists with at least three top five Hot 100 hits from each of their first three proper albums, as "Finesse," with Cardi B, reached, appropriately, No. 3 in January. It followed the title track and "That's What I Like" from his 24K Magic LP.
2 – More Cardi B, who became the first female rapper with two Hot 100 No. 1s. In July, "I Like It," with Bad Bunny and J Balvin, led, after her debut hit, "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)," ruled for three weeks in October 2017.
1 – BTS earned the first two No. 1 albums by a K-pop act on the Billboard 200: Love Yourself: Tear, in June, and Love Yourself: Answer, in September. Additional reporting by Keith Caulfield

Chart week 1-5-2019
Elvis Presley Earns Highest-Charting Billboard Hot 100 Hit Since 1978 as 'Blue Christmas' Jingles In at No. 40 1/1/2019 by Gary Trust
Plus, returns for Chuck Berry & Frank Sinatra.
Elvis Presley appears in the Billboard Hot 100's top 40 for the first time since 1978, as his classic carol "Blue Christmas" debuts at last, at No. 40 on the chart dated Jan. 5. Powered by streaming, it zooms 48-32 on the Streaming Songs chart, up 61 percent to 21.3 million U.S. streams in the Dec. 21-27 tracking week, according to Nielsen Music. It also drew 9.6 million in airplay audience (in the week ending Dec. 30).
Presley had last ranked in the Hot 100's top 40 on the chart dated Jan. 14, 1978, when "My Way" placed at No. 35 after reaching No. 22 in December 1977; the King of Rock and Roll died Aug. 16, 1977.
"Christmas," recorded and first released by Presley in 1957, arrives as his 81st top 40 Hot 100 hit, tying Lil Wayne for the second-best total in the chart's history (with Presley's career predating the survey's 1958 inception). Drake leads with 94 top 40 hits.
Presley adds his 109th Hot 100 entry overall and first since "Rubberneckin'," which reached No. 94 in 2003. The Glee Cast holds the record with 207 Hot 100 visits, followed by Drake (192) and Lil Wayne (161). Rounding out the top five, below Presley, Nicki Minaj has tallied 102 charted titles.
Here's a look at all 23 holiday songs on the latest Hot 100:
No. 3, "All I Want for Christmas Is You," Mariah Carey (up from No. 7; new peak, becoming the first top-five holiday hit on the Hot 100 in nearly 60 years) No. 8, "Jingle Bell Rock," Bobby Helms (up from No. 13; new peak) No. 9, "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," Brenda Lee (up from No. 11; new peak) No. 10, "A Holly Jolly Christmas," Burl Ives (up from No. 12; new peak) No. 11, "The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas to You)," Nat King Cole (up from No. 17; new peak) No. 13, "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," Andy Williams (down from No. 10 peak) No. 16, "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," Gene Autry (up from No. 28; new peak; concurrently, parent set Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Other Christmas Classics becomes Autry's first No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart) No. 20, "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow," Dean Martin (up from No. 32; new peak) No. 25, "Last Christmas," Wham! (up from No. 27; new peak) No. 26, "Sleigh Ride," The Ronettes (up from No. 33; new peak) No. 28, "Here Comes Santa Claus (Down Santa Claus Lane)," Gene Autry (up from No. 35; new peak) No. 29, "Feliz Navidad," Jose Feliciano (up from No. 34; new peak) No. 32, "(There's No Place Like) Home for the Holidays," Perry Como (up from No. 41; new peak; thanks to this song and his classic at No. 35, Como ranks in the Hot 100's top 40 for the first time since July 1973) No. 34, "White Christmas," Bing Crosby (up from No. 48) No. 35, "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas," Perry Como & The Fontane Sisters (up from No. 42; new peak) No. 40, "Blue Christmas," Elvis Presley (debut) No. 42, "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)," John & Yoko/The Plastic Ono Band with The Harlem Community Choir (up from No. 45; new peak) No. 43, "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)," Darlene Love (up from No. 50; new peak) No. 44, "Underneath the Tree," Kelly Clarkson (re-entry; new peak) No. 45, "Run Rudolph Run," Chuck Berry (re-entry; new peak) No. 49, "Jingle Bells," Frank Sinatra (debut) No. 53, "Cozy Little Christmas," Katy Perry (up from No. 68; new peak) No. 55, "The Christmas Song," Lauren Daigle (up from No. 90; new peak; plus, it becomes Daigle's fourth No. 1 on the Hot Christian Songs chart, dethroning her own "You Say" after 23 weeks on top) Also notably, Chuck Berry and Frank Sinatra, like Presley, return to the Hot 100 after several decades.
Berry's "Run Rudolph Run" re-enters at No. 45, marking the first Hot 100 appearance for the late legend (who died in March 2017), since 1972, when novelty song "My Ding-a-Ling" became his sole No. 1. "Run" debuted and hit a previous No. 69 peak in December 1958.
At No. 49, Sinatra (who passed away in 1998) graces the Hot 100 for the first time since 1980, when "Theme From New York, New York" reached No. 32.
Meanwhile, Sinatra sends a version of "Jingle Bells" onto the Hot 100 for the first time. The standard was written by James Lord Pierpont and it was first published, as "One Horse Open Sleigh," in 1857 (101 years before the Hot 100's birth).
As Berry, Presley, Nat King Cole, Perry Como and Dean Martin all ranked on the inaugural Hot 100, dated Aug. 4, 1958, the icons share the record for the longest span of appearances, stretching across the chart's entire existence (60 years and five months).
(As for holiday songs and their eligibility, or lack thereof, for the Hot 100 over the years, Joel Whitburn notes in his book Christmas in the Charts: "From 1963 through 1972, and from 1983 through 1985 [with minimal exceptions], Billboard published a seasonal Christmas Singles chart and did not chart Christmas singles on the Hot 100." Per current Hot 100 rules, in place in recent years, older songs, including seasonal titles, can rank in the top 50 if experiencing significant multi-metric gains, and multiple holiday standards re-enter or debut each season.)
As previously reported, Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next" tops the Hot 100 for a seventh week.

7 Rings debuts at #1 -- 33rd single to do that
"Rings," released on Republic Records, arrives as the 1,083rd No. 1 in the Hot 100's 60-year history, and launches as the week's most-streamed and top-selling song.
Grande becomes just the fifth artist with multiple No. 1 starts, joining Mariah Carey, the leader with three, Justin Bieber, Drake and Britney Spears (two each
Girls Like You in the top 10 for the 31st week Most weeks in Hot 100's top 10 33, "Shape of You," Ed Sheeran, 2017 32, "Closer," The Chainsmokers feat. Halsey, 2016-17 32, "How Do I Live," LeAnn Rimes, 1997-98 31, "Girls Like You," Maroon 5 feat. Cardi B, 2018-19 31, "Uptown Funk!," Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars, 2014-15
Back at 1: Grande collects her second Hot 100 No. 1 just two months and two weeks after "Next" opened on top. That's the quickest accumulation of leaders for an artist (in a lead role) since Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself" hit No. 1 only three weeks after "Sorry" first reached No. 1 in early 2016. Among women, Grande lands the fastest succession of new No. 1s since Rihanna's "What's My Name?," featuring Drake, hit the top spot on Nov. 20, 2010, and "Only Girl (In the World)" followed just two weeks later (Dec. 4).
Following the Jan. 18 premiere of the song and its official video, "Rings" debuts at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart with 85.3 million U.S. streams in the week ending Jan. 24, according to Nielsen Music. The sum marks the second-biggest streaming week ever for a song by a female artist, after Grande's own "Next," which drew 93.8 million, as reflected on the chart dated Dec. 15, following the premiere of its official video. (Drake's "In My Feelings" holds the overall record: 116.1 million; July 28.) Grande earns her second Streaming Songs No. 1, after "Next."

Ariana Grande's '7 Rings' Spends Second Week Atop Billboard Hot 100, J. Cole's 'Middle Child' Charges to Top Five
Cole reaches his highest career Hot 100 rank, rocketing 26-4.
Ariana Grande's "7 Rings" tops the Billboard Hot 100 for a second week, leading the list dated Feb. 9, after debuting at No. 1 a week earlier. The song launched as Grande's second Hot 100 No. 1, and second to start at the summit, following "Thank U, Next," which debuted atop the chart in November and led for seven total weeks.
Meanwhile, J. Cole collects a new career-best placement on the Hot 100, as his "Middle Child" soars from its No. 26 debut a week ago to No. 4, following its first full week of availability.
Post Malone's "Wow." descends to No. 9 from its No. 8 Hot 100 high, and Super Bowl LIII halftime show performers Maroon 5 slip 9-10 with their former seven-week No. 1 "Girls Like You," featuring Cardi B. "Girls" logs a 32nd week in the top 10, tying for the second-longest top 10 run in the chart's archives:

Ariana Grande's '7 Rings' Spends Third Week Atop Billboard Hot 100, Marshmello Makes Fortnite-Fueled Flight to No. 2 2/11/2019 by Gary Trust
Marshmello's "Happier," with Bastille, blasts to a new high from No. 8.
Ariana Grande's "7 Rings" rules the Billboard Hot 100 for a third week, topping the tally dated Feb. 16, after debuting at No. 1 two weeks earlier. The song launched as Grande's second Hot 100 No. 1, and second to start at the top spot, following "Thank U, Next," which debuted atop the chart in November and led for seven total weeks.
Meanwhile, Marshmello and Bastille bound from No. 8 to a new No. 2 Hot 100 high with "Happier," after Marshmello performed a trailblazing in-game concert inside Epic Games' video game Fortnite Feb. 2.
Helped by the band's Super Bowl LIII halftime show performance Feb. 3, Maroon 5 holds at No. 10 on the Hot 100 with its former seven-week No. 1 "Girls Like You," featuring Cardi B, as the song ties a longevity record: "Girls" logs a 33rd week in the top 10, matching the longest top 10 run in the chart's 60-year history:

Ariana Grande Claims Nos. 1, 2 & 3 on Billboard Hot 100, Is First Act to Achieve the Feat Since The Beatles in 1964
2/19/2019 by Gary Trust
'7 Rings' reigns for a fourth week, 'Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored' debuts at No. 2 and 'Thank U, Next' rebounds to No. 3.
Ariana Grande becomes the first artist to hold the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart simultaneously since The Beatles in 1964, as her new album Thank U, Next launches at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums tally.
Grande's "7 Rings" rules the Hot 100 (dated Feb. 23) for a fourth week, while "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" debuts at No. 2 and former seven-week leader "Thank U, Next" rebounds from No. 7 to No. 3. All three songs are from the Thank U, Next album, released on Republic Records.
Grande is just the second act in the Hot 100's 60-year history to monopolize the top three in a week. The Beatles earned the honor for five weeks in March and April 1964, even claiming the entire top five on the April 4, 1964-dated chart.
Ariana meets The Beatles: Grande is only the second act in the Hot 100's history to rank at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 simultaneously and the first in nearly 55 years. The Beatles achieved the feat for five weeks in 1964, that March 14, 21 and 28 and April 4 and 25; on April 4, 1964, the group claimed the entire top five.
"7 Rings," "Break Up" and "Next" mark the first triple-up for an artist at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 on the Hot 100 since The Beatles held the same spots on April 25, 1964, with "Can't Buy Me Love," "Twist and Shout" and "Do You Want to Know a Secret," respectively. (Thus, the last time the honor was earned, the No. 1 song was about how "I don't care too much for money; money can't buy me love"; "7 Rings" finds Grande declaring "retail therapy my new addiction.")
Between The Beatles' and Grande's tri-umphs, Drake came closest to the feat, placing at Nos. 1, 2 and 4 on the Hot 100 dated July 14, 2018, with "Nice for What," "Nonstop" and "God's Plan," respectively. The songs contributed to Drake's record seven simultaneous Hot 100 top 10s, as his album Scorpion debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 the same week.

Ariana Grande Breaks Record For Most Simultaneous Top 40 Billboard Hot 100 Hits by a Female Artist
2/19/2019 by Gary Trust
Grande charts 11 songs in the top 40, and 12 on the chart overall, all from her new album, 'Thank U, Next.'
Ariana Grande rewrites the record for the most simultaneous top 40 Billboard Hot 100 hits by a female artist, charting 11 songs in the region on the survey dated Feb. 23.
All 11 tracks are from Grande's new album Thank U, Next, which launches at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. (Each of the set's 12 songs make the Hot 100, with one just outside the top 40.)
Grande bests the mark previously set by Cardi B, who tallied nine top 40 Hot 100 entries on April 21, 2018, when her album Invasion of Privacy opened atop the Billboard 200.
Drake holds the record for the most simultaneous top 40 Hot 100 hits among all artists, claiming 21 on July 14, 2018, the same week that his album Scorpion debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Here's a look at each of Grande's 12 songs on the latest Hot 100:
No. 1, "7 Rings" No. 2, "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" No. 3, "Thank U, Next" No. 14, "Needy" No. 17, "NASA" No. 21, "Imagine" No. 22, "Bloodline" No. 25, "Ghostin" No. 26, "Fake Smile" No. 27, "Bad Idea" No. 38, "In My Head" No. 48, "Make Up"
All of the above songs are debuts except for "7 Rings," which spends its fourth week at No. 1 on the Hot 100; "Thank U, Next," which rebounds 7-3 after spending seven weeks at No. 1; and "Imagine," which re-enters at No. 21, besting its prior No. 24 peak.
As previously reported, Grande becomes just the second artist to hold the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 spots on the Hot 100 simultaneously, after The Beatles in 1964.
All charts will update tomorrow (Feb. 20) on Billboard.com.

Six Key Numbers From Ariana Grande's Record-Breaking Week
2/20/2019 by Glenn RowleyShe want it, she got it! With the release of her fifth LP Thank U, Next on Feb. 8, Ariana Grande has catapulted herself into yet another level of the pop cultural stratosphere, a rarified space of shattered records and chart successes that even the brightest stars rarely attain. Capitalizing on a perfect storm of musical inspiration and optimal timing, Grande seized the moment following the release of Sweetener in September to write, record and release her full-length follow-up in the space of less than six months. Ariana Grande attends the 13th annual Billboard Women in Music event at Pier 36 on Dec. 6, 2018 in New York. Read More Ariana Grande's Huge Chart Week: Billboard Staffers Discuss Five Burning Questions By crafting 12 empowering, vulnerable and swaggering pop bangers filled with emotional healing, Grande spun personal trauma, heartbreak and a never-ending stream of tabloid headlines into pure gold. She learned from the pain, turned out an amazing album and in doing so solidified her legacy as Ariana Grande, Pop Superstar. Below, Billboard breaks down the numbers behind Grande's monumental week. 360,000: Number of first-week units earned for Thank U, NextThank U, Next barrelled to the top of the Billboard 200 (dated Feb. 23) with 360,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Feb. 14, according to Nielsen Music, marking the biggest debut of the year thus far -- and the biggest week for an album by a female artist since Taylor Swift's reputation earned 1.24 million units in its first frame in November 2017. Grande's latest first-week number is nearly 130,000 units higher than Sweetener's 231,000-unit tally during its opening frame in September. 307 million: Number of on-demand audio streams for Thank U, NextGrande set a new high-water mark for pop success in the era of streaming with Thank U, Next, which bows with the largest streaming week ever for a pop album -- and for any album by a female artist: 307 million on-demand audio streams earned for its songs in the U.S. in its first week. With Thank U, Next, Grande surpassed the previous most-streamed pop album in any week (Ed Sheeran's ÷ [Divide], which started with 126.7 million U.S. on-demand audio streams for its songs; March 25, 2017) by more than double. The success of Thank U, Next in streaming is especially notable in a landscape so routinely dominated by hip-hop -- in fact, Thank U, Next is the only non-hip-hop album in the top 20 largest-streaming weeks ever for an album, clocking in at number nine. Ariana Grande photographed Nov. 10 at Smashbox Studios in Los Angeles. Read More Ariana Grande's 'Thank U, Next' Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart With Biggest Streaming Week Ever for a Pop Album 11: Total weeks at No. 1 for Thank U, Next singles on the Billboard Hot 100Thanks to the success of her No. 1 hits "Thank, U Next" and "7 Rings," Grande is leading the recent resurgence of pop at the top of the Hot 100. The title track debuted at No. 1 on Nov. 17–becoming the first song by a female artist to open in the top spot since Adele's "Hello" back in 2015 -- and held the top spot for seven nonconsecutive weeks. Earlier this month, the braggadocious "7 Rings" also debuted at the top of the Hot 100 and is currently spending its fourth consecutive week at No. 1. The accomplishment is even more momentous for the 25-year-old, considering that she had never had a Hot 100-topping hit prior to "Thank U, Next," five albums and 10 top 10 hits into her career. It's also worth noting that Grande is now blocking herself from getting to No. 1 for a third time with her most recent single from Thank, U Next -- the flirty, *NSYNC-interpolating "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" -- which debuts this week at No. 2 behind "7 Rings." 12: Number of songs from Thank U, Next on the Hot 100… the entire setAll 12 songs on Thank U, Next chart this week on the Hot 100, with all but one landing in the top 40. This feat earns Grande the record for most simultaneous top 40 hits by a female artist, besting Cardi B's previous tally of nine in the week Invasion of Privacy made its chart debut in April 2018. Other than her simultaneous trifecta of top three hits (discussed below), a few highlights include the doo-wop-inspired "Needy" debuting at No. 14, certified bop "NASA" rocketing in at No. 17 and the dancehall-tinged "Bloodline" entering at No. 22. 4: Total No. 1 Albums for Ariana Grande on the Billboard 200 albums chartWith its considerable first-week bow, Thank U, Next becomes Grande's fourth LP (of five total) to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. (Only 2016's Dangerous Woman was held off from reaching the top spot, peaking at No. 2 behind Drake's behemoth Views.) This week's chart also marks her second No. 1 album in under six months, following Sweetener's bow at No. 1 on the chart dated Sept. 1. Grande's reliability at the top of the Billboard 200 is well-documented: upon the release of her 2013 debut album, Yours Truly, she became the 15th female artist to ever have her debut album open at the top of the chart, joining the illustrious ranks of stars like Britney Spears, Beyoncé and Kelly Clarkson. And to put her four Billboard 200 No. 1s in context among some of her pop star peers, Katy Perry has only scored three No. 1 albums in her career, while a No. 1 album eluded Rihanna until her seventh full-length effort, 2012's Unapologetic -- her first of two total to date. 2: Number of artists in Hot 100 history to occupy the top three spots simultaneouslyIn perhaps her most impressive chart accomplishment to date, Grande becomes just the second artist in the chart's 60-year history to occupy the top three spots on the Hot 100 simultaneously. "7 Rings" is in its fourth week at No. 1, "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" debuts at No. 2 and "Thank U, Next" rebounds from No. 7 to take the third spot. The only other act to pull off such a massive feat? The Beatles, who dominated Nos. 1, 2 and 3 for five weeks (and even owned the entire top five for a week) back at the height of Beatlemania in 1964. Upon hearing the news, Grande expressed her shock and heartfelt appreciation, tweeting, "i laughed when i saw this bc i thought y'all edited it. thank u from the bottom of my heart. for so many reasons. first time since the beatles huh. that's wild. i thought this was a joke when i saw it i'm not kidding. i love u. so much. always have n will. thank u for everything."

3-23-19 7 Rings #1 for a 6th week Post Malone 2 songs in the top 5 Louis Bell 4 songs in the top 10 as a songwriter
Notably, songwriter Louis Bell boasts four songs in the Hot 100's top 10 for a second week: "Sunflower," "Without Me," "Wow." and "Sucker." That's the most at once since Lil Wayne sported writing credits on five songs in the top 10 on the Oct. 13, 2018-dated chart (after Drake drew seven in the top 10 on July 14, also including four in the top six, like Bell this week). Among writers with no credited Hot 100 hits as an artist, Bell's haul in the top 10 is the most in a week since Max Martin also tallied four in the tier eight years ago, on the chart dated March 26, 2011 (Katy Perry's "E.T.," featuring Kanye West; P!nk's "F**kin' Perfect"; Britney Spears' "Till the World Ends," featuring Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha; and Ke$ha's "Blow.")

In its 30th week on the Hot 100, "Better" is one of just seven singles in the chart's history to take at least that long to reach the top 10, as it completes the most measured climb to the region since Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive" (31 weeks) in April 2013; Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" holds the longevity record, having wrapped a 38-week rise to the top 10 in June 2007.
