Two songs both considered to be amongst the best country songs ever recorded and timeless classics. Both using a specific type of alcohol as euphemisms (like many other country songs).
"Tennnesee Whiskey" was originally released by David Allan Coe in 1981, and then country legend George Jones released his cover in 1983 which ultimately became the more popular and "classic" version, peaking at #2 on the country charts. However, the song re-emerged to popularity with Chris Stapleton covering the song on his critically acclaimed 2015 album Traveller.
"Strawberry Wine" was a #1 country hit for Deana Carter (her first) in 1996 and is considered a classic.
For the purpose of the poll, you can vote for "Tennessee Whiskey" if you prefer any of the 3 aforementioned versions over Deana's song (I'll embed Stapleton's version below).
Which song do you like more?
