I know it's not gonna be like how the chart is until tomorrow, but I've noticed one thing:
Radio, keep playing Linkin Park's new one!! I'm not burned out at all yet, and it's definitely better than the yawner from Staind. It's only 3 spins behind Staind right now. Also, I'm glad that "Faint" is continuing to lose spins. And that Nickelback are losing even more than that. Plus, it was pointless to lose spins for "Weak And Powerless", while Staind have "How About You" as their next release. Sorry, I'm just sick of Staind. And I used to really like them, too. Not that I hate them.
Blink-182 are still going strong. I think that's cool. They're ahead of Trapt!
Sadly, Puddle of Mudd looks like they'll keep on gaining spins. In this case, I don't mind if Linkin Park stay 10 weeks at #1.
Andre3000 looks like he'll be closer to getting into the top 20, but that will probably be at the end of this month.
Evanescence are for sure moving to recurrent. "My Immortal" still only stands in the 60s. Even R.E.M. have more spins than them.
What annoys me though, is that if "The Hardest Button To Button" is gaining only 12 spins, "Seven Nation Army" shouldn't be doing any better. However, that's gaining 57 spins. However, while THBTB isn't all that radio friendly or anything, I think it could slightly rebound if 7NA goes recurrent.
Cold are done with "Suffocate" >:( Same could be said about "Here Without You" losing as many spins as "7NA" is gaining. Sorry fans of the band, but they don't deserve alternative cred with this song.
I wonder if the new RHCP could be a #1. That would be awesome.

I still haven't heard the Cold song! It's amazing, I've heard both of their singles that didn't come close to the top 30, and I haven't heard a very-near top 20 single. I hope Thursday can hang on to #30 by the final update. I'm glad I was wrong about Audioslave being almost done. I'm thinking they can squeak out another top 10. I also haven't heard the Hoobastank song. I caught the last ten seconds of the video the other night but KNDD still hasn't played this. And it looks like No Doubt may make the top 50 after all. Unless AFI should sneak in which would probably push them back down to #51. AFI's gonna get in anyway, so I hope they can hold back until at least Monday.

But with Evanescence going recurrent (more than 20 weeks for sure, and #22), I think it still has a chance.
BTW, you mean 3? "Just Got Wicked", "End Of The World", and "Bleed" (which arguably would be bigger had they not changed it to "Thirteen") were the singles from the last album that did not make it there.

No, I haven't heard "Just Got Wicked". I actually wasn't even aware that was a single. But I remember seeing the videos for both "End Of The World" and "Bleed" as well as WXRK playing "Bleed". (And I agree with you on the name change - it was another victim of the post-9/11 hypersensitivity)

I agree that "Seven Nation Army" needs to get off the chart. Here's what it's done since it fell out of #1: 1-3-3-5-5-6-10-11-10-9-8*-7-12-15-17-17-18-18* I think that's even slower than "Headstrong"'s fall. It even moved back up for FOUR weeks in a row. Yay, Switchfoot makes the top 10. Hopefully P.O.D. will miss the top 10. Hopefully Hoobastank won't. I don't think it'll happen, but it would be really cool if "Hey Ya!" could make the top 10. It's already way higher than I ever thought it would get. I'm mad that my alternative station hasn't added it yet. The new 311 is good, but it's not at all radio friendly. I'll be happy if it makes the top 25. Poor AAF. At least they made the top 40 for a week though.

I am still not sick of SNA. So I am not unhappy to see it lingering on the chart. One of the best aternaive singles of the year.

It hasn't gone for adds yet. And "Seven Nation Army" needs to get off already. This is more annoying to me than "Headstrong"'s run. But the difference is SNA isn't getting the pop and hotac airplay like headstrong is. So I still hear headstrong often, but I can't remember the last time I heard SNA.

According to the search function, nickelback's "figured you out" hasn't even been mentioned in the alternative/rock forum, so I'll mention it here.
That song is completely degrading and sickening. Too bad it's as catchy as hell.

"SNA" is has been parked at the bottom of all the RTM/callout surveys for Active Rock that I've seen. I'm surprised that it's lasting so long there, and that there's enough listener support to keep it there. It's near the bottom at Alternative as well, but I sense its rating there is the product of mostly 1's and 5's.

wow... No doubt is again off the chart. This could be the shortest run in the Alt chart, just for one day.

It should be back up to #48 within a couple of days anyway.
