Revenge of the Best: Country Rankdown #2s - Part II

After we finished ranking every country rankdown winner last summer, we also had an opportunity to rank every Country song that had finished at #2, to see which one would be able to claim the ultimate revenge and end up becoming a rankdown winner. In the end, Jo Dee Messina's "Bye Bye" saw a triumphant victory, which was such a perfect finish after seeing that song get stuck at #2 on THREE separate occasions...behind the same song!!
Last year I felt like this rankdown got drawn out way too much, because it did not start until Best of the Best had completely ended. By the time the first Revenge one started, we had already finished like a dozen new rankdowns, but I used the same timeline as the first BotB rankdown to make the list, so it all just felt oddly out of sequence. That is why, this year, I am opening it at the same time as the Best of the Best rankdown. This one will be due about 2-3 weeks later, so people should definitely prioritize BotB, but I still wanted to get the song lists out there so people can start working on both if they would like to.

Everything for this second Best of the Best/Revenge of the Best series started at #58, with the 80s Ladies rankdown. It stops after #114, the Jo Dee Messina album tracks rankdown :) Anything that has happened since that point will be in the eventual 3rd #1s/#2s rankdowns!
I have a spreadsheet on my own computer that I use, so I always forget to update the online version. Your request inspired me to finally copy/paste all the new info so you could see it 😂
