I mean, until we see LW drop and this start going for adds, i'm going to be skeptical that this is the next single, but i just can't imagine her making the trip to vegas for the 2nd biggest award show of the year(screw you grammys) to not play her next single. Tour starts in like 3 more weeks. Its gotta be. And i'm all in for this!
Love the comment that Crox made.....Smashbound! (I sure hope so!)

I like this MUCH more than the first 2 singles, both of which I found extremely underwhelming.

Don't like this much at all, but hopefully it reverses things for her this era.

This is really good. I loved Carrie's performance of this at the ACMs.

Just sent to country radio. Impacts immediately.

About damn time. They should've sent this out immediately after the ACMs. Also, I love that single cover.

That single art is gorgeous. I really liked the "Love Wins" art, too, so at least they got that going right now. This should bring Carrie back to the top. Glad they are finally moving on to this.

I think this song will bring Carrie Underwood back to the top 5. But I have a nagging sense that this will still come up short of a #1.
I personally dislike this song (Carrie Underwood fans don't come for me), it's just a real waste of her talent and this type of summer party jam just doesn't work well with her voice. Something about the production just sounds off as well.
So while I personally don't like the song, I do see it being successful with country radio. Better late than never release wise, even if almost all the buzz from the ACM perform is probably gone at this point.

The 3 weakest songs on the album as singles. She's playing on hard mode.

Nice to see it being officially sent. I think radio will respond well.

I get why they chose this for the next single, but it is not my cup of tea and will probably be a station changer for me.

To me this was the most logical choice. It’s the most radio friendly song on the album besides Love Wins. Really bummed it didn’t hit the top 10 on Billboard.

So many redneck margaritas will be consumed this summer while jamming to this!
I agree its nothing ground breaking but its much more fun than the last few singles from her, and I think radio needs a singalong from a female for the summer, with the slower 'GIRL' likely taking another 10-12 weeks to peak for Maren and 'Miss Me More' will have peaked when summer is really heating up.

When was the last time she released such a fun single like this? “Good Girl”...?
Very excited.

Great choice and perfect for summer! "Cry Pretty," never grew on me, and I never liked "Love Wins," but I am so on board for this.
This kind of reminds of, "Save It For A Rainy Day," by Kenny Chesney in sense of it being perfect for radio after two underperforming singles (albeit, Kenny had a huge lead single with, "American Kids").

This kind of reminds of, "Save It For A Rainy Day," by Kenny Chesney in sense of it being perfect for radio after two underperforming singles (albeit, Kenny had a huge lead single with, "American Kids"). Eh, The Big Revival was actually a huge comeback era for Kenny. "Til It's Gone" and "Wild Child" both went to #1, even if they didn't sell as well as "American Kids" and "Save It for a Rainy Day," and I wouldn't say either derailed his momentum at radio at all the way CP and LW have for Carrie. I'd say this era has been a lot rougher for Carrie. I think "Southbound" is much more radio-friendly than her first two singles, but only time will tell if it's strong enough to get some momentum back this late in the game. I think this'll at least be a top 15. Anything more than that will depend on research. I don't agree, as some others have said, that Carrie's decline in radio success has anything to do with her age or the fact that a few more females have been having success. I think it's 100% the quality of the past two singles, and this is a much better choice for radio than they were. The vocals are more pleasant and the lyrics are smarter.

I hate this song. Lyrically, it’s very weak, but it’s the right choice for the 3rd single. It’s a perfect summer jam that should turn her chart woes around.

I think radio is missing "bad girl Carrie." It's been awhile since she's been around!
This should hit the top 10 tho.

One of my local stations had a special debut for it even at 5:20 (cdt)....it sounded sooooo goooood! It took them 4 months(it was literally january) to start playing LW so i would say this is already a much more promising start. Can't wait to keep hearing this on my radio all summer long! And yes hopefully there will be a really cool video for this.
Aaaah its a great day. Time to have a redneck margarita🍹

This is the best choice she and the label could have made for the third single. If anything from the album is going to hit big, it'll be this one.

Hopefully, this does well so "Drinking Alone" can follow up. !!!!!! Drinking Alone has got to be the single after. It screams smash just like this will easily be a hit over the summer.
