I think it depends on the act. Pure sales/tour driven acts will definitely struggle badly right now, but younger streaming acts might not be affected too much.

Jake also rises 21 spots to #39 on the Hot 100! #39 feels artificially high considering how "Homemade" is selling and streaming, but I'll take it lol.

It makes it his third top 40 hit on the chart, behind only "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" and "Beachin'" at #21 and #26, respectively. But it's a great song that imo should've been selling/streaming way better than it has, so I'll take it too, lol.

I guess the Lil Uzi Vert album bomb sent songs to recurrency and when those songs dipped below "Homemade" (this week presumably), it got a huge boost in rank?

Beyond ecstatic that this hit #1 at radio!! It's an incredible, beautiful song and deserves it. The last era wasn't as successful (RCA really dropped the ball by ignoring songs like "You Ain't Going Nowhere") and this being the third #1 from this album out of 3 singles just proves that switching labels was the right move.

II don't think it was ignoring songs as much as it was "If He Ain't Gonna Love You" pretty much tanking all of his momentum. Literally any other song on that album would have been a hit but the label choose the one single that would almost blow up his career, Nashville in 2016 was on some serious WTF single picks ("If He Ain't Gonna Love You for Jake Owen, "Said No One Ever" by Jana Kramer which killed her radio career tenfold, and "Whisper" by Chase Rice) that pretty much damaged or outright destroyed a lot of artists momentum

"Down to the Honkytonk" missed #1 though... But still far more successful than any American Love single besides "American Country Love Song" in terms of radio success so your point definitely still stands!

They had songs that would've likely done much better, and they were ignored by the label.

They should have if they were dead set on releasing it make it Jake Owen ft. Chris Stapleton. Stapleton was super over at that time.
