I Don't Care's still only #3 on iTunes. Luke Combs' new single did a better job in the first few hours... Wtf. Just wait an hour or two.. in the UK it's already 5:1 against the closest competitor. |

Ed Sheeran's more hardcore in UK. In US it just hit #1 on iTunes on its 8th hour. It's pretty slow compared to other lead singles from big names. |

Biracial people can look pure white or pure black. They're not just light skin black. Halsey is also biracial, but you wouldn't know it looking at her either. Anyway, in chart news, "I Don't Care" is #1 on iTunes currently and has the Billy Ray Cyrus remix of "Old Town Road" down to 40%, but "I Don't Care" is already getting red updates. (All version of "Old Town Road" combined are at ~49% of "I Don't Care.") "Beer Never Broke My Heart" is still #3, selling twice what the #4 ("ME!") is selling, though it's also getting red updates. Also, no idea what caused the spike (though it is on sale), but "Whiskey Glasses" by Morgan Wallen is #9 on iTunes and rising. There are currently three country tracks in the top ten. Luke Combs at #3, Blake Shelton at #6, and Morgan Wallen at #9. "Beer Never Broke My Heart" was #32 on Spotify today for the last day of last week's tracking period. It's going to have a very nice debut next week. (Assuming it doesn't debut this week, though I highly doubt it. It might make the Bubbling Under, though.) "Whiskey Glasses" was #122 on Spotify today. The Blake Shelton song is not in the top 200. Even crazier, on the uncombined Apple Music chart, "Beer Never Broke My Heart" is #26! "God's Country" is #109. "Whiskey Glasses" is #102. Now Apple Music constantly updates so it's likely "Whiskey Glasses" and "Beer Never Broke My Heart" will be in similar positions on Spotify tomorrow's chart, but the fact that "God's Country" is #109 there, but not on Spotify is shocking. Hell, the fact that Luke Combs is #26 on Apple Music is astounding considering Apple Music leans much more urban than Spotify does. |

You have to consider black Americans often already have significant European ancestry due to slavery. As such, biracial black/white Americans are often majority white. And I wouldn't say he looks "pure" white, but race is a social construct anyway. |
