In my top 5 from her. I literally love/like every track and it contains one of my all time top 5 Madonna songs, "Holiday". Such a strong effort all around.

Fantastic debut. In my Top 5 for sure. It instantly takes me back to my childhood and my parents being young,

Among my top 3 favorite Madonna albums. The singles were incredible, and I enjoy all of the tracks except "I Know It." This is much better than Like A Virgin and True Blue, which had terrific singles but a lot of filler.

The album stands as a template for the pop/dance that was to come, up until now. The album was also R&B- peaked at No. 20 on the (then) Hot Black Albums chart. Two of the singles made the Black Singles chart- "Holiday" at No. 25 and "Lucky Star" at No. 42. Was "Borderline" not actively promoted to R&B stations?

Not one bad song on this album. A flipping classic.

I had this album. Just about everything except “I Know It” is great. She probably could have released or re released everything on it and it would have done well. I think my favorite non single or Top 40 hit from it was “Think Of Me”. “Holiday” is probably my favorite from the album with “Lucky Star” coming in a close second. Back then things were different so it felt like this and the “Like A Virgin” album kind of overlapped. It was harder for us to discover new music in a way. I was only 6 when it was released in 83, but I don’t think I fully discovered it until right before “Like A Virgin” came out. Great album!!
