I saw the Top 4 of a countdown yesterday, so I guess they made a weekly countdown in addition to the year-end. Actually now I see the Top 4 were the same today and yesterday, so it appears this countdown did not first air today, I don't know when it did. Positions in parenthesis are from two weeks ago before the year-end countdown assuming there was no weekly countdown last week.
12. Strokes: "12:51" (reentry)
11. Chevelle: "Closure" (debut)
10. Linkin Park: "Faint" (6 two weeks ago)
9. Korn: "Right Now" (12 two weeks ago)
8. Hoobastank: "Out Of Control" (11 two weeks ago)
7. Trapt: "Still Frame" (this is a big fall from 2 two weeks ago and 1 three weeks ago)
6. Staind: "So Far Away" (3 two weeks ago)
I guessed that the three videos in a row between commercials would be the first three, but it was actually 8, 7, and 6.
5. Red Hot Chili Peppers: "Fortune Faded" (5 last week)
4. Switchfoot: "Meant To Live" (1 two weeks ago)
3. Jet: "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" (5 last week)
2. Three Days Grace: "(I Hate) Everything About You" (4 last week)
1. Puddle Of Mudd: "Away From Me" (debut)
So recently they have reentered two songs that already peaked and had a debut at Number 1.
"Going Under" did well but "My Immortal" hasn't debuted yet.
The background before and after commercials and the way the name of the countdown and video number are displayed have changed starting with the year-end countdown. They now call the countdown "Rock."
Here are the two weeks ago positions for the droppers:
9. White Stripes: "The Hardest Button To Button"
8. P.O.D. "Will You"
7. A Perfect Circle: "Weak And Powerless" (former Number 1)
12. Strokes: "12:51" (reentry)
11. Chevelle: "Closure" (debut)
10. Linkin Park: "Faint" (6 two weeks ago)
9. Korn: "Right Now" (12 two weeks ago)
8. Hoobastank: "Out Of Control" (11 two weeks ago)
