No one seems to have made this thread, which is weird. Guess its not a very interesting week. I guess we'll see how circles will hold up with radio gains and how far DCMA will plummet. Also whether or not panini can stay stable with all the boosts its been getting.

If there’s nothing to talk about right now about this week, whats the point of starting the thread now?

Ugh. Here I was, thinking that 2019 might be the year when Maroon 5 stop stinking up the charts with their bland nonsense. But nope, looks like Adam Levine's gonna be around forever.

It's still rising on radio, but it's still dropping in points. Any major act could debut at #1 if they dropped now and got the right reception and engagement.

honestly wouldn't surprise me if Rihanna is retired from music Considering the wya her music was trending, I wouldn’t be surprised if she just focused on fashion. For a few more years, if not forever.

You have to ask if there's even any need for her to come back to music. I mean, other than fans who have been bugging her to put something out, she really has no reason to. Before her fashion and make-up brands were launched, music was her primary hustle. That isn't the case anymore. The money she makes off her music and the money she makes off her businesses aren't nearly comparable. She's worth $600 million today not because of her music. She also seems to really love and enjoy doing other stuff that's not music.
I want her to put some new music out, but I'll totally understand if she doesn't.
Hell, if I had other business ventures that I loved and made a ridiculous amount of money from that didn't demand that I spend hours recording new music and months touring in promotion of said music, I'd probably quit trying to make music, too.

• She said in 2019 that music is her “first and forever love”.
• She said in 2019 that she’s “loves” music and she “cannot wait for the album to finally be released”.
• She confirmed twice in two magazine interviews, in 2019, and twice on her own IG, that she’ll be releasing music indefinitely... in 2019.
Its only been 13 months since she last released music.
MOVE ON!

Its only been 13 months since she last released music. Did you just skip a whole entire year? Lemon was released in November 201 7.

These few slow weeks before big albums by whoever will release in Q4 are the ones Post Malone should take advantage of, yet can't see any of his songs being top 3. Both of his singles already has a video so it all comes down to how high Circles can go on airplay.

Adele's rumored November comeback is probably making a lot of label executives pretty nervous.

The fanbase that supports her other business endeavors are mostly also and were first fans of her music and they've all been asking her for new music. No one in their right mind would say anything other than what you just posted her saying about music. The fact still remains that she's getting involved with more and more things that seem to be taking priority over her music career. All I did was point that out and say that I would probably do the same thing if I were in her shoes.

Tbh Rihanna can wait until 2020. I will cut a Barbadian bitch if "All I Want for Christmas" doesn't make #1 this year. Same goes for Adele.

Adele's rumored November comeback is probably making a lot of label executives pretty nervous. Album or lead single? Does it really matter? A new album will probably immediately follow after a lead single. The only label execs who will be nervous are those who still have artists who plan to release albums before 2019 is over.

This all assumes that the next album from Adele will be at the same record-setting levels as the last two
4 year breaks between albums only works for so long

Adele's rumored November comeback is probably making a lot of label executives pretty nervous. Yeah. Those at XL/Columbia - they've got a lot riding on massive project. It's going to be tough to replicate the buzz/anticipation of '25' - coming off iconic, acclaimed multi-hit album, killer 1st single/video, etc. Following up '25' won't be the same confluence. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see if Memories, which is #1 on iTunes, will generate significant streaming numbers that will make it a Top 10 contender. I'm assuming M5 has a radio deal.

I’m thinking 300,000 sales first week and streaming 3-4 million per day on Spotify first week.
