Ugh.
Sorry I know one word responses aren't our jam here in the country forum but this has been a station changer for me on the highway for months.
The metaphors are so flimsy and clunky and UGH.

My GOSH that beat is mind-numbingly bad! Totally unlistenable. I can’t even focus on the melody or anything.

This is already kinda old, i would have went with something new. The song is decent but if they are gonna release an older song why not go with "Bigger than us", i feel that one has a higher ceiling for hit potential imo

I actually like the song but the backbeat sounds like a midi keyboard and it drives me nuts.
The Highway has killed this for me already but I can actually see him having a decent sized hit with this. It sounds like something that would take off. I wish Bigger Than Us and Whiskey's Fine could've found radio success first.

If this isn't a Mason Ramsey remake then I don't want it.

I've gotten to the point with The Highway that I instantly go over to Prime Country or Y2K if they start playing one of their Highway Finds. I'm sure I've like a few here or there, but they've been striking out more often than not for me... I would have preferred "Whiskey's Fine" if they were going to go with one that the Highway already has played to death.

Music Video:
I forgot this existed. I heard this song again because I was clicking around YouTube and the music video came up in my recommended. It's still bad. Not atrocious, but sounds like a song and vocalist we've heard a million times. And the beat is still horrible.

Yeah, there's not much there for me with this one. I've said before that I'll take boyfriend country over bro country any day of the week and twice on Sunday, and they sometimes hit the mark, but this song seems to be evidence that the men have already overused it. Most of these lyrics, a couple of them clichéd even, sound like a regurgitation of what many men have already used in their own songs. The vocal sounds a bit monotonous imo and that beat makes me wanna bang my head against a wall in time to it.
I just gave this a spin and in the time it took to type this post I've already forgotten it. I don't see too much happening with it, but then again this is country radio and this song has a pop beat so it should easily fly up the charts :(
Is there anything better by this person? I see a consensus in this thread that Whiskey's Fine was the missed opportunity, so it must be pretty great compared to this?
