I'll just say that my #1 is one of the best discoveries I've ever made in a RD. That is all.

I'm not entirely sure how this is gonna go. Knowing me, I'm gonna be doing quite awful in closeness.

My highest discovery was #7 (and lowest was #38). Madonna jumped out at me as a #1 contender. I’m not sure what would be last but I would possibly see it as being one of the older, less known songs.

Pink Frost will have a high SD, hopefully it at least made top half
I'd be surprised if Tie A Yellow Ribbon and Robert DeNiro's Waiting weren't bottom 10

Well, I just about made a monumental screw-up (sorry, indulge), but it's taken care of now. Let's (finally) get started.Pretty wild.
What song finished at the very bottom of the second Red's Pop Rankdown? Well, I'll tell yo this much: The bottom two were not separated by much. Someone also gets a perfecto right off the bat...and two posters lose top fives, too.

This didn't look like it would be the #40 for a while. In fact, it only reached the very bottom of the rankdown within the last couple of movements. Wait until you guys see just how close the bottom two race was...
Oh, and who had the #40 perfecto? Don't get your hopes up, it's just me.

How close were things between the bottom two? Just TWO points separate #39 and #40. #39 spent the second-most amount of time at #40 in the rankdown, but it was able to do just enough not to end up there at the end.
Just four posters are losing top half rankings, and none of them are top tens...for the only time all rankdown. Twelve bottom tens still accompany this song, though the bottom five total is fairly low for a bottom two participant (five), and, more importantly, it's one of four songs in the bottom ten without a #40.

You want to know how sure I was that this song was going to be #40? I had a reveal post ready for this song and its eventual placement at the bottom. It spent almost half of the rankdown at the very bottom, especially near the end, so you can forgive me for being so sure in advance.
This song sounds kind of dopey, but I just can't help but love it.

#38 surprised me by being as low as it is. This song is close to a full ranking ahead of "Tie a Yellow Ribbon", and, like "Robert De Niro's Waiting", it spent a single movement outside of the bottom ten. It also looked like a more consistent threat to escape said fate for a little bit, before embracing its bottom five destiny around the halfway point.
Seven top half rankings will be talking about their misfortunes, and though just two went a step further and ranked this song top ten, both are losing their first top ten. One is losing a pretty high top five. The problem is that this song tied "De Niro" for the most bottom tens in the rankdown with fourteen. Less than half may be bottom fives, but multiple #40s will make up for that.

Hey, you want a prime example of how difficult this particular list was to rank? This song being in my bottom ten is a pretty prime example. This is my favorite Spice Girls song, and, for a while, it wasn't close.

Get ready, because our first high standard deviation is bursting onto the scene with the sixth highest SD. You'd think that there would be a lot of high rankings being lost here at #37, but...not really. Three top tens are still being lost, including two top fives, at any rate. Thirteen bottom tens, a good chunk of them in the bottom five, had a say in bringing this song down. Yes, multiple #40s will be lost here, too.

I... am surprised Will ranked this higher than I did, considering my childhood was literally right in the middle of Spice Girls mania and he didn't exist yet lmao. TBH though I went into this thinking 2B1 would be in my top 10 but it's not my favourite single of theirs so it got pushed around before it settled just inside my top half.

I can't believe I ranked this below top 20 when we did the 2000 Hot 100 rankdown. I know that RD was pretty tough for me to rank, but there is no way this did not deserve to be top 15, at least.

My first non-bottom ten is getting revealed at #36. This is the first song to not just spent a decent amount of time outside of the bottom ten, but also the first song to spend any time in the top half. It's fall into the bottom ten and bottom five was swift, however.
Let's start at the bottom this time. Ten bottom tens had a problem with the song at #36, though less than half had more of a problem with it and ranked it bottom five. One of the bottom fives is pretty low, though. Meanwhile, four top half rankings will feel the pain, all but one being top tens. Two top fives will feel further pain, and one poster will feel the harshest pain of all: The first #1 loss of the rankdown.
