I swear we better not have waited this long for lists and reveals just for yβall to tank Shake Ya Body! I'm sorry. :'( "No lie, I do kinda get why this wound up so low but I'm still disappointed that it couldn't at least escape the bottom 10. Tyra doesn't get enough credit for this song (even from herself). She's been candid in interviews that she pursued music for all the wrong reasons, wanting to replace the rush of walking a runway with the rush of performing live on stage for huge crowds. She considered herself and her work 'fine', but didn't believe 'fine' was good enough a level to really go for it in the end, and even though she used America's Next Top Model as a tool to create a music video for this song it was never marketed or pushed outside the show. Personally, I don't see any reason why she couldn't at least have had a moment like Paris Hilton did with 'Stars Are Blind' because the song is good and she sounds good on it for what she's capable of."SHOOTER 2 @antigonerising 7 Exclusive 11 Ty 15 #LisaRinna 19 singingrulebritannia 21 Az Paynter 24 maine 24 Adrian C. π 29 Sambalada 30 Red 31 willapted33 32 samoπ¦ 33 @trilogy 35 π

This was a bop, but not a particularly good song.

I'll say this much: I don't think you can count too much on my support...but there's a couple of songs that I have a much bigger problem with. FWIW, I didn't think this was bad, but I kind of agree with Tyra herself.

"This song was the lead single from Swedish pop singer Darin's 4th studio album 'Flashback', and it featured guest vocals by American singer Kat DeLuna, who had worked extensively with RedOne (the song's producer) on her own debut album. The song was a major hit in Darin's native Sweden, and was also a top 20 hit in Finland. A UK release came and went without any promotion, or any success either. I remember being into this song because at the time I was still interested in Kat DeLuna's music (the interest in her faded with her career's failure to launch). I still like this song though, even with how cheesy and melodramatic its lyrics are - and Kat's strange vocal inflections are on full display as well but by now I'm used to it on this song."Adrian C. π 1Sambalada 2 Willow Rinadoobee Breakfast 6 π

Hey wouldn't be a Juggy reveal without ABSOLUTELY MAKING ME THE HIGHEST RANKER OF LAST PLACE I forgot to mention in the initial tease; EVERY song in this rankdown has at least one top 10 and one bottom 10. Every single reveal of this game will be GREAT for someone, but will utterly suck for someone else. One man's trash, etc. Ugh, I can already tell who has my number one in their bottom ten.

Shake Ya Body is such a guilty pleasure for me and I got a kick out of watching the video again and remembering the ANTM episode where the video shoot was that week's competition.
Tyra is right, but in that unfortunate and ironic way where her own self-defeatist attitude is the very reason why she wasn't 'good enough' to make the music career stick. SYB was fine for the time period; she had the popularity and of course the look to make it happen if she really wanted it and was willing to put in the work for it. But it's like she was so afraid of failing or not being taken seriously that she talked herself out of fully committing, then tried to brush it off like 'oh I wanted to do it for all the wrong reasons anyway.' Her reason wasn't even that wrong. Gee, a performer getting a rush out of performing for big crowds. Who would have thought?!

"Aqua was the first band I've ever loved, and their debut album is the first album I've ever owned so of course I was all over 'Aquarius' when it came out. This is probably my favourite single from that record, even though it was pretty much a flop and the beginning of the end of their initial run after the diminishing returns of 'Cartoon Heroes'. I've always been a major fan of Aqua's remixes in particular, and this was no exception with Junior Vasquez' absolutely epic Marathon Mix clocking in at nearly 14(!) minutes (most kids my age at that time wouldn't have nearly the attention span but for me it was instant love). Sad to see Aqua flop here, but I guess they were one of the ones that had to walk so that others could run."π

"This was the fourth single from Irish girl group B*witched's self-titled debut album, becoming their fourth consecutive UK chart-topper. This was, at the time, a record - no other act in UK chart history had charted at #1 with their first four chart appearances before them, though their record was since overtaken by fellow Irish band Westlife. B*Witched made a name for themselves as a more light-hearted, childish and 'cartoony' outfit based on their first two singles, while this showcased a much more mature and serious direction for the quartet. The group's US campaign had already ended by the time this song was released, and it did not chart despite featuring in a season 5 episode of the original 'Charmed' and later on its soundtrack. This is another one I'd hoped might fare a little better. Also, this does have a music video - but either it's not available to me or there IS no official upload (which... WHY?!) And wtf is this photoshop mess on the cover art lmao."alexcuse 4 singingrulebritannia 11 #LisaRinna 15 Red 15 Az Paynter 17 maine 18 willapted33 19 Adrian C. π 19 Willow Rinadoobee Breakfast 24 @antigonerising 26 Albie 27 @trilogy 29 Ty 30 newpower 34 Juan Carlos 35samoπ¦ 35SHOOTER 36 Exclusive 36 @doinktheclown 38 π

"We now witness another victim befall #teamAUSSIE as Samantha Jade becomes the second local act to depart in the bottom 10. After Sammi's record deal with Jive fell through she spent some time down the indie route (and, as I recently found out, working as a session singer providing backing vocals for 'Glee' covers. Huh.) This song was the only single she released independently before she threw the towel in and headed back to Australia (this is prior to her X Factor-induced career resurrection). I remember this song being out and I *think* I may have even heard it on the radio like once (ever) but it was a big ole' flop which may have been another reason Sammi wanted to quit, because it was yet another failure to launch."alexcuse 9 @doinktheclown 9 π

"It was 'Barenaked' that made me aware that Jennifer Love Hewitt could sing - and was quite good at it actually (I may have heard 'How Do I Deal' before then but if I did, it never registered that that was her). I enjoy the album this song came from, and the song itself was actually a minor hit in Australia peaking at #12. Jennifer deserved more success in her music career; it should've been clear that she wasn't doing it to be gimmicky and she wasn't one of those actresses who just decided to do music for whatever reason. Funny note; in trying to track down a single cover large enough for the graphic I saw a scan from a promo referring to 'Barenaked' as her debut album. I lol'd at that retcon; 'Barenaked' is her 4TH album actually."SHOOTER 9 willapted33 13 Exclusive 14 Juan Carlos 15 Sambalada 16 alexcuse 17 @doinktheclown 19 samoπ¦ 20 #LisaRinna 20 maine 20 newpower 26 @trilogy 27 singingrulebritannia 27 Albie 33Ty 33Az Paynter 35 Adrian C. π 35 @antigonerising 36 π

I honestly like one or two of J-Love's songs, and I probably would have ranked the one 2000's song at least in the top half here.
I just don't care for this, though.
