Some pre-reveal questions you can answer. What song do you think will win? What songs do you think will gets eliminated first? Which of the folksy songs do you think will do best? Which song with "Jesus" in the title will do well? How do you think the foreign language songs will do? What song do you think will get the highest SD? At what ranking does the good tier begin for you? Did you have any favorite discoveries, or if you don't want to name them, how many discoveries were there in your top 10?

What song do you think will win? Well, this particular list has a slightly less varied participant pool than the previous Alt/Rock RDs, but that doesn't make picking a potential winner any easier. "Lazy Eye" is my best guess, but there's ten or more songs that might have a chance to win this.
What songs do you think will gets eliminated first? I'll go slightly bold and say that my last place song is last. It just seemed like the least memorable song in this rankdown, but maybe I'm wrong. I know what song I don't want it to be, but I think it has a pretty good chance of landing there, given the strength of the rankdown.
Which of the folksy songs do you think will do best? "Jesus, etc." was my first hunch, but that also depends on which songs you think are "folksy".
Which song with "Jesus" in the title will do well? Probably "Jesus Christ".
How do you think the foreign language songs will do? Poorly. I wouldn't mind being proven wrong.
What song do you think will get the highest SD? "Paranoid Android", always. Maybe "Wolf Like Me", if it has the support.
At what ranking does the good tier begin for you? That depends on what you're looking for, specifically. I thought every song in this rankdown was at least decent. If we're talking about songs that I really enjoyed, you have to get into the bottom ten before I start to have reservations. The top ten is literally an RFS.
Did you have any favorite discoveries, or if you don't want to name them, how many discoveries were there in your top 10? There were zero discoveries in my top ten or my top 20. Then again, I also knew most of this rankdown well ahead of time.

The first song to be eliminated is my #42. It starts ok, but nothing special, and it would have to have a really good start to make up for how much it drags on for the last half of what's already a rather long song. I included it because it seems to have relatively high ratings (ex RYM) so I was curious to see if pulse agreed with that or not because I don't.

In most other rankdowns, this would be closer to my top half or in said top half.
As you will be able to tell with where I ranked some songs, this was not "most other rankdowns".

Not as good as "What a Waster", but the buildup towards the outro is pretty damn fun

The Libertines may be my least favorite of the 2000s NME/Spin crop. I don't hate them, but I can at least recall one shining moment for the others--not them

I must stress that this is not bad. I just thought this was the least memorable and interesting song in a stacked rankdown.
Call it the "gates syndrome".

This probably would have been far more surprising if Oasis didn't finish last place just two reveals ago.
I just hope this isn't a sign for a song I have a little higher.

This was a surprisingly okay first five. "Lucky Man" went out, sure, but the first five was full of Britpop. I'm shocked that I cleared four of my bottom five this quickly.
(Heh, good luck getting the other one out anytime soon, though.)

Whoa lol
This is fine (and a "classic" Rammstein track), but I actually prefer several other Rammstein tracks over "Sonne".

This was decent, but I liked nearly everything on this list, hence the perfect ranking.

Nobody was supposed to rank this higher than me, Nick.I thought this would be last, and it wasn't. In that sense, I'm relieved. Of course, it's never going to be fun when one of your favorite songs ever goes out in the bottom ten of any rankdown, but considering the competition, it still could have been worse.

Can't say I was expecting Noir Désir to make it very far unfortunately, although I would've loved to be proven wrong. Despite the lead singer's personal wrongdoings, this song is a true gem
Also somewhat surprised that someone ranked it higher than I, the resident Frenchman, lol

It's a shame; the lyrics of Manic Street Preachers could've been the defining trait of a great band. Too bad their music is so tedious and bland
