The freeze doesn't really happen until mid-December. We still have 6-7 weeks.

New Dua Lipa song might debut around 60-50 and die from there in America.

Sure the freeze is still away but when talking about radio charts it does take songs naturally about 6-7 weeks to even get to big heights (at least) So releasing from now on isn't too intelligent

But the holiday songs will actually start re-entering the Hot 100 usually on the chart for the tracking week starting with Black Friday.

AC radio starts switching to Xmas music at this point, and they almost exclusively play old Xmas stuff after December starts. Hot AC as well, although it's not as massive of a switch as AC.
Pop radio slows down and most songs lose their bullets around December until the year end countdowns are over.
Whatever tops radio charts soon ish is probably gonna stay there for a while.

I was so mad when Girls Like You got another boost in the top ten after the year end countdown of last year.

New Dua Lipa song might debut around 60-50 and die from there in America. I hope it does better, but other than "New Rules" and to a lesser extent "One Kiss," Dua hasn't really gotten good chart positions. She can hope for some longevity, though.

“The Freeze” impact is so long winded that it even impacts the charts in January. What ever songs are near the top of the charts after Thanksgiving will basically stay there until February. So yes, it’s smart to get a song out in October if you want to take advantage, otherwise most songs released after that will get stuck halfway up the charts and lose momentum.
It’s something unavoidable and pretty predictable at this point. It’s already obvious to me that “10,000 Hours,” “Good As Hell,” “Memories” and “Circles” will be the songs in the top 5 of airplay until February in no particular order. The endless airplay will also cause their streaming to stay strong during the holidays.
Any predictions on who the 5th slot will go to? 2 Wild cards are “Lose You to Love Me” and “Trampoline.” The latter has been climbing for so long, it will be incredible to see it frozen near the top of airplay for even longer into next year. But I’m not sure if it will even go that high. The run has been so unpredictable.

I must admit that I don't know country airplay like I know other genres. In country there tend to be massive drops once something hits #1 so that more hits can cycle through the top spots on airplay, but having year-end retrospectives might slow down the charts at the beginning and end of years.

Last year Speechless got like 4 weeks at #1 thanks to the timing. The previous year Like I Loved You spent at least 3 weeks at #1 despite not being a huge hit.

I’m not sure about Country radio either, but i do believe radio across the board is slow in December-January. I include January because all the songs already on the higher end of the charts from the previous year come back roaring with bullets after the freeze. The impact of the freeze is really like a month long process.

I just can't at Rihanna and Adele anymore. Forget the Christmas freeze, this year it's the Christmas tease, endless hints these superstars are gonna release soon, with nothing to show of it so far and just pissing off the public more and more.

Forget the Christmas freeze, this year it's the Christmas tease, endless hints these superstars are gonna release soon, with nothing to show of it so far and just pissing off the public more and more. All I ever see are fan accounts making huge leaps to reach conclusions that never materialize and shady "news sites" pick them up for clickbait. Rihanna and Adele have only ever said vague stuff like "it's coming sometime in this time frame." Well, we're in the dead middle of said time frame and fans are going insane picking apart everything they do instead of having an inkling of patience. Does no one remember that both artists gave us very little warning before they dropped their last albums. Seriously, with Adele we started the week knowing nothing and ended the week with "Hello" breaking records. "Work" dropped seemingly out of the blue.

Well if we keep guessing that they gonna release by next week or so, probably eventually it will be correct.
Also, it's close to 4 years since the release of 25 and Anti. Time goes by quick.
