Way more than I expected for Celine, even with the bundle! Fantastic! Will be her first #1 album since A New Day Has Come and only her second English album to debut at #1.
And yeah, of course her second week drop will be big. Name one legacy act these days whose second week drop isn't steep? And even if the bundle did largely pad the opening it just proves she is still a huge touring force (as she has been for a long while now). Great all around!

Holy Crap!! Even with the bundles, that's way more than I ever expected at this point in her career. Good for Celine!

Dion's arena tour has 50-odd U.S. dates, so going by that, the potential was pretty strong. It will be her fifth No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and seventh top two title.

Yikes, that is a horrific opening for Lady Antebellum. 11-14k in sales?!

Just was curious how Courage might stack up against her fellow divas latest releases's first week:
Mariah Carey (2019) - Caution (51,000 copies) Madonna (2019) - Madame X (95,000 copies) Janet Jackson (2015) - Unbreakable (116,000 copies) Cher (2018) - Dancing Queen (153,000 copies)
Makes Cher's opening even more impressive!

Mariah and Janet are the only ones without bundles, which makes their numbers pretty impressive as well.

There was one album redemption per ticket purchased. The number of redemptions appeared to be very low based on album sales vs ticket sales.

Well, I guess the only way those legendary divas can manage to get good first week numbers was with a bundle after all. Which brings up Adele ...

Well, I guess the only way those legendary divas can manage to get good first week numbers was with a bundle after all. Which brings up Adele ... Adele isn't on the level of those divas at all, so I am unsure how she is comparable here. Two huge albums don't equate to 30-50 years of continual success (some of which had a coupling of eras just as big as Adele's two). Also, bundling is something the new artists are even utilizing to pad their debut with sales the way they are. Let's see where those artists are 30+ years into their career before we compare). lol

The Caution album also had merch bundles that included the digital album. Like it or not, that's the only viable way for older/veteran acts to compete in the streaming-heavy world, as their streaming numbers cannot compete with the newer/younger acts. Especially females. Janet J.'s last album was released when streaming still hadn't taken off in a huge way. She may not even bother releasing another album with the way the market is going.
