Follow-up to "New Attitude," from the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack. Peaked at #5 R&B in 1985.
Allee Willis, who co-wrote this with Dan Sembello (who died in 2015), died yesterday at 72.

I like it, but I much prefer "New Attitude". That one really gets me going and is by far one of the standout tracks when I think about the 80s, IMO.

"New Attitude" is my shit! I put it on my gym motivation playlist: "I'm wearing a new dress, new hat / brand new ideals / As a matter of fact, I've chAAAAAnged for good!"

"Stir It Up" is decent. Joss Stone sang it with Patti for the soundtrack of a Disney film I think sometime in the 00s... their duet wasn't half bad.
