I was quietly rooting for âMaybe It Was Memphisâ to win as itâs such an iconic song that came out around about the time I started listening to country radio. I knew it would be a tall order, though, given how well beloved âBorn to Flyâ is to all of us. Either way Iâm very happy with out all of this ended up playing out. Speaking of impressive, look at that all female top 5âŠWOOT WOOT! Each one of those songs is a gem and deserved to be there. Iâm happy to see that George was able to squeeze in one song into the top 10 as âOcean Front Propertyâ has long been one of my all-time favorites from him. I still say that âRunâ mightâve been a top ten contender here as well, but thereâs no sense in stirring up that pot again lol. Also pleasantly surprised to see âBubba Shot the Jukeboxâ make it as far as it didâŠI for sure wasnât expecting to see a Mark Chesnutt song make it into the top 10! I thought for sure this wouldâve been out long ago. Itâs always hard to try and rank all of these songs when put together in one rankdown. I could probably do this rankdown 50 different times and my list would likely never look the same, so no matter the results all of these songs are iconic in their own right. As always thanks for the hosting duties bboat11 !

tim âRunâ finished at #10 in the previous RotB rankdown, so it could indeed have been a top 10 contender here, but would not have been eligible to be included even if it had won the album rankdown :)

1. "Born To Fly" - Sara Evans
Couldn't have been a more perfect and fitting way to end this one than to have Sara Evans on top and me be the sole #1. Thanks for another great installment, bboat11!

Born To Fly has my highest ranking for all the songs that are not picked by me for games before, so I am happy about this. Thanks for bboat11 for hosting this as well.

we should do a bonus rankdown that includes all the bonus songs that keep winning. Not that we have too many rankdowns going on or anything but I think it'd be a cool idea eventually!

That's actually a marvelous idea!!! Not that it has to (or, quite frankly, needs to) happen anytime soon, but these bonus songs are the songs that are infamous as all hell here on Pulse, and having to only rank ONE of them at #1 would be torturous fun! If a rankdown like this were to happen, we'd find out the ultimate Pulse favorite!

That is certainly a great idea to happen eventually! Like, maybe in a couple years it could be a great idea to help restore rankdown hype once rankdowns inevitably start to slow down and lose popularity. Because honestly, right now a lot of those songs are still SO overhyped and overused on Pulse that I don't feel I could stomach them being in another rankdown just yet... Lol! I know I am not alone in thinking that some of them need a bit of room to breathe for the time being :)
