Welcome to Pulse's rankdown of the Year in Adult Album Alternative Radio 2019!

1) PM both me (singingrulebritannia) and Daryl the Beryl the top 100 Triple A songs of 2019, all ranked to your preference. (e.g. if you like a song the most, rank it the highest and vice versa). If you do not send your ranking to both me and Daryl, your ranking will be discarded, so please make sure to send to both of us.
2) The points a song has will be totaled up based on an inverse point system. So if you rank a song #100, it gets 1 point, and if you rank a song #1, it gets 100 points. All the points from the participants will be totaled up.
3) The due date for submission is Sunday, January 26th. The deadline time is 11:59 PM PST. Considering this will be a 4-week period for a current-year list, don't expect extensions to be given.
4) ALL songs must be ranked.
5) To avoid posting with duplicate lines when you PM me, click BBCode below the text box before pasting your list.
6) All your rankings will be posted when I post a song in this thread.

Well, hi everyone!

I guess I need no introduction here considering that I've been the one who has prepped the rock radio rankdowns or double confirmed them. However, this is my first time being a host in a rock radio rankdown since active 2002! So this is pretty nervous for me, but exciting as well as AAA is perhaps my favorite rock radio format currently. Looking at the list, this year is no different.

I started this tonight, hoping to finish on the weekend.

I told myself once I finalized my own list I would write the first BALLOT UPDATE. So, here we are! The Starting Five for YOUR WORLD CHAMPION CHICAGO BULLS the 2019 Triple A rankdown is: Daryl the Beryl, @humanshazam, wheatsquares33, @trilogy, and myself. A fairly typical group of early submitters--will the results action be just as average?

~ Every song has received at least 50 points, but 8 have yet to cross into the triple-digits. The top 59 all have at least 200 points, #36 and up have at least 300 points, and the top 16 already reached 400 points.
~ Seven songs have been in every top ten (the composition of the top 10 has not changed since Wheat's list). Two songs have been #1. The current #1 has been there for the last 3 lists. The only prior #1 is still in the top 3. #1 leads #2 by 11 points, and #2 is ahead of #3 by 10 points. #10 and #11 are separated by 17 points.
~ Four songs have been in every bottom 10 (only 2 of those are currently in the bottom 5). There have been 3 #100s, and the latest did not move from the spot with the introduction of my list. The current last place is 23 points behind #99, and a full 54 points behind #90. However, there is a 1-point gap between both #90-91, and #91-92.
~ The two highest standard deviations are back-to-back at #72 and #73. Neither are astronomically high, sadly. #1 and #10 are the current lowest SDs.
~ And now, let's hear it for Pulse's favorite part of the ballot update...


Not as many ties as you would hope for in the early going. There's one at #21, then you have to drop way down to get to the next one at #69, but you'll quickly be rewarded with two more at #72 (yes, that means the two highest SDs are tied lmao) and #75. The final tie is found at #85.

From today until next week or the week after, I'll be sharing a few songs (about 7) everyday that either made the top 50 on Mediabase, and the new and active/most increased plays sections on Billboard. We'll start with the latter. None of these made the top 40 on Billboard - those that did so will be shared later after submissions close.

The first extra is from a duo who have already made six albums to date. Technically this would be for 2020 given the chart date was after the 2019 chart year, but I inputed it before Billboard confirmed the 2019 tracking period, so I will not show this in 2020 unless it makes the top 40.
