hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=325750&title=NEW-RELEASES%253A-SOULFLY-TSUNAMISaturday, March 27, 2021 NEW RELEASES: SOULFLY TSUNAMIRod Wave’s SoulFly (Alamo/Geffen/Interscope) is a lock for #1 on next Friday’s HITS Top 50 and could double the opening of his previous release, Pray 4 Love. That album debuted with 72k in April 2020 and has amassed 1.3m in album equivalents to date. We’re projecting that SoulFly will generate at least 175m audio streams, with a chance to break 200m and send its total even higher. Look for an update tomorrow. Rod Wave (Alamo/Geffen/Interscope) 125-150k total activity, 2-4k albums NF (NF Real Music/Virgin) 70-85k, 55-65k Carrie Underwood (Capitol Nashville) 55-70k, 50-60k

Didn’t expect this Carrie Underwood album to exceed the debut of her Christmas album, but it looks like it will. Amazing!

Good numbers for Rod, hope they trend upwards.
The deluxe release on Friday was pointless for Bieber. They should've waited for a month or so with it.

So, all debuting albums mentioned show each manage a top 5 debut. It's been a while since that has happened.

Triple chucks deluxe flopped. He would do over 80k without it

Fantastic number for Carrie!
She would be #1 in physical sales and possibly going to top 3 after her facebook performance

Carrie remains a lowkey force, esp. in the pure sales department. Reiterating. She’s about to clear 80k in pure sales with a gospel passion project.

Triple chucks deluxe flopped. He would do over 80k without it shocking considering the features it had but the tracks on deluxe weren't good so..

what's up with 3 solid album debuts this week, instead of them separating out from each other and preventing morgan from 10 weeks at #1 tho?

Great numbers for Rod Wave!
Is there any other genre that pops out mainstream stars like hip-hop/rap has in the last... 6/7 years? Rod Wave is yet another success story. You love to see it.

Omg right. I'm still shocked at Pop Smoke's success(rip). Even R&B too! I'd never expect Daniel Ceaser or Giveon to get a #1. Loving it.

All hip-hop artists. And that's just off the top of my head. No other genre has pumped out as many stars in that period.

Based on the final HITS top 50 chart, it looks like The Highlights will have pulled the switcheroo musical chairs with After Hours once again.

Yikes at 24KGold's debut numbers. Proof that having one big streaming hit indeed does not just automatically make you a big artist on Billboard 200 like some people think.

80k in pure sales for CU’s hymnal gospel record. That’s just staggeringly good.

Yikes at 24KGold's debut numbers. Proof that having one big streaming hit indeed does not just automatically make you a big artist on Billboard 200 like some people think. It's numbers are a consequence of bad timing, since Mood is way past its peak at streaming.

I'm positively surprised about 24kGoldn, I can't see him ever again getting a big hit as a lead artist.

I'm positively surprised about 24kGoldn, I can't see him ever again getting a big hit as a lead artist. He released 2 more singles after Mood that while catchy, didn't do anything. Maybe it's a case of the Blinding Lights where one single is just so big that it prevents any other single from taking off but I wouldn't count him out as a hitmaker. He's very good at making melodic tunes and he's super young. I could see him scoring some more hits down the line, whether any of them will be as big or bigger than Mood is the great unknown.

The Highlights was such a stupid and pointless "album". The Weeknd should remove it from all platforms The Weeknd was charting 3 albums weekly before it was released (After Hours, Starboy & Beauty Behind the Madness) and since then, Starboy & Beauty Behind the Madness have both fallen off the Billboard 200, leaving only After Hours and Highlights.
