Released in 2001, Drops of Jupiter was Train's second album, earning them their first top ten album on the Billboard 200 and their first top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with the title track. It is certified 3x platinum in the US, 4x platinum in Australia, 2x platinum in Canada, and gold in the UK. It was the 41st best selling album of 2001 in the US and 148th best selling in 2002. It is the band's best selling album. (Though I would personally say the Save Me, San Francisco album has the higher number of well known songs from it.)
The album just celebrated its 20th anniversary. A new edition of the album was released to commemorate the date:

I have never really been able to get into their albums. They have some ok songs here and there but they've primarily been a singles band for me. Their 2017 album, as lame as it might have been, for me was their most solid in terms of the hooks and melodies
Drops of Jupiter had 3 great singles though. I remember when "Meet Virginia" became a hit in 99/00, I was only 11ish and I thought we'd never hear from Train again (especially after "I Am" was the follow up single). But boy did they prove me wrong becoming one of the biggest Hot AC artists ever. "Drops of Jupiter" was the song that really set them on that path and very deservingly so!
