This wonderful masterpiece and one of my all-time favorite collaborations that got me so hyped on the song thread here that also kick-started the "Lover" Taylor Swift era is officially two years ago today!
While the song itself was really fine, and the chemistry between Taylor and Brendon was good, let us all forget about the "hey kids, spelling is fun" line, it was unnecessary. Really freaking deserved to be #1, mostly because I wanted Brendon to have one, bit alas, it came around the time "Old Town Road" was at #1.

Not a very good start of the Lover era.

This is really not good at all, they should've led with You Need To Calm Down or Cruel Summer. This was just so annoying, and it felt like Taylor was trying really hard to erase the Reputation era with this track. It sounds like a Kids Bop version of itself.
Is it just me or did Taylor just seem to forget this song even existed? Like she immediately moved on to You Need To Calm Down a month later and then never revisited this song. Maybe it's for the best.

The verses are fine, the production is cute, but the chorus and bridge drag this down so much. It should never have been a single, let alone the lead.

In 2021, this has once again become a meme. I'm seeing these videos everywhere:

I liked this. Huge drop in quality coming from Reputation though.

Taylor's worst lead single ever and this is coming from a Swift fan who has liked a lot of her releases. Glad she recovered from Reputation and Lover[not her best eras IMO] with Folklore/Evermore.

I liked it and thought it was a needed change from her image from Reputation. I was surprised it didn't have more staying power on the charts.

I actually liked this. It was cute. The pairing of Taylor and Brendon was on point. Yes, the "Hey kids spelling is fun" part is a little cringey, but in an ironic sort of way it's fine. The video is fun.

It's definitely childish, but for what it is, it's fun and catchy, so I like it. Glad it got blocked tho, what a week THAT was

Since she went fully pop, her lead singles always tend to be my least favorite from the album. I especially can't stand "Shake it Off" and "ME!," even though I loved 1989 as a whole, and liked the Lover album more than I thought I would.

I think it's absolutely hilarious that this has fallen to be TWELFTH on the daily streams for Lover on Spotify behind all the other singles and seven album tracks. It's only ahead of "Death by a Thousand Cuts" (barely), "False God," "I Think He Knows," "I Forgot That You Existed," "Soon You'll Get Better," and "It's Nice to Have a Friend."

One of my favorite Taylor songs and a highlight off of my favorite Taylor album. This song makes me feel good instantly and lifts my spirits, idec!

A confusing single choice, at the very least.
