I don't care for this. I feel like it falls flat in many areas. Kind of like a watered down 2010s Shakira track. Not surprising, your opinion. I get it you don't like Camila. I hope this becomes a big hit and proves you wrong.

I really like this. The verses more than the chorus so far. She doesn’t sound much different than she normally does in some songs so I guess her vocals sound fine to me. The chorus is a little to traditional Latin sounding for me but it’s still fun and I’m sure I’ll end up loving it to because I’m already getting used to it on listen num.3. I’m not disappointed and will be jamming to it all Summer!! Leona’s winning in my book! Lol

I really like this. Have no idea how it will do in the US at least though.

Shameless and Liar were much better and still struggled so... idk how much it can do on the charts.
I expected a bit better based on some comments :( maybe it will grow on me.

I was dancing to it all night last night. Good! It's got a lot latin influences. I'm not sure if I buy it because deep down I still feel like she's just using that because of her past success and not an actual connection to the culture. But keep bringing the bops and we will keep streaming Karla.

It is very Shakira, but without Shakira's artistic flair. I'm fine with her vocal but something feels missing here in terms of songwriting.

I kind of like this. It’s not something I’d come back to on my own but if it became a hit, it’s not super catchy so it wouldn’t be annoying to listen to over and over again.

I gave it a listen last night when I saw this thread open.
My bad!!
Because I got immediately HOOKED and OBSESSED with this. I’ve already listened to it over 100 times, which is a first for a Camila song.
It’s exactly the type of Latin song I’ve been craving in pop music. ENOUGH WITH REGGAETON!! Give me some salsa, son, merengue, cumbia, something else! I mean tropical house had that type of Latin influence everywhere anyway! So yeah I’m loving this Latin vibe. It’s the closest to a Gloria Estefan track I’ve heard by a mainstream pop artist, it brings me Oye mi canto and Mi Tierra vibes with the Latin instrumentals. The compact song structure also works for me, as it has different catchy parts in less than 3 minutes. That chorus is fuego. Especially when the background vocals take it up a notch. Her vocals are still a bit problematic, as she needed to do a big cough by the second part of the first verse, and then I heard a couple of auto tuned screeches in the chorus. But I give her a big pass because she brings a lot of attitude to the song. I think her voice works a bit better than Shakira’s for this type of track actually. And her talk singing is a win to me.
Also kudos to CC because she’s really taking a risk here. This is no Havana or Señorita, which had mainstream elements. This is far too Latin for mainstream, so GOOD for her! At this point she’s fully embraced her roots, much more than what JLo did in her first eras, so with this lead single she’s cemented her membership in the Latin artist community in my book.
In terms of a hit? Likely not given how far left this is to current mainstream, but I’d love to be proven wrong. This is my summer jam now anyway, and I can see having it in high rotation in the next couple of months.
I’ll watch the video tonight with my partner, who really likes her stage presence and several of her songs :)

#18 on iTunes and 745K Views on YouTube it’s up against the new Weeknd feature and new Lorde track. Maybe some promotion will help this. It’s only gonna stand out on radio because it’s different.

I like this but I have to say that the vocals are a bit rough. It feels like something Shakira would easily slayed, not Camila. I wish we also had the instrumental because the Latin flavored production is really top-notch.
The video was cute. Always great seeing RuPaul Drag Race Queens in mainstream media!

I dont get anybody thinking this sounds anything like something Shakira has or would ever do. Shakira would never record a bop like this...
But honestly, this is giving me Rosalia a la cubana, and I'm here for it.

Another individual brought up Selena Gomez' recent EP, but the way this album is described it sounds to me like an attempt to cross MT with modern pop music.

Yeah this is a good Song all things considered, I'm just a little Disappointed since I expected her to release a Catchy bop and Yeah this isn't really a Catchy song in my Opinion. Also the repeated lyrics "Oh yeah, don't go yet, don't go yet." Sounded a little repetitive to be completely honest.

I'm not really feeling the verses (I think it's her vocals) but I absolutely love the chorus and it get stuck in my head. I can see this growing on me more with a few more listens.
I guess this got a radio deal because my local station is playing this at the top of every hour.

It's alright and the video is fun but I'm still not sure what she's bringing to the table as an artist?

What's wrong with her voice? I've had issues with Camila's voice in the past but it's always been alright, but she sounds awful here. Like she recorded it while sick.

She's always been a subpar vocalist. She can hide it well when the production and the lyrics make up for it (I LOVE love LOVE "Cry for Me", but I'm sure a stronger vocalist would have made it even better).
