Considering it's exactly what happened with 25, it's never been a bold prediction. Thinking she was gonna play the singles game was wishful thinking.
The difference here is the sales market has never been worse so 30's gonna settle at about 30% of 25's total, when streaming could have taken her closer to 50% (5 million ish).
I want that IDW video. Best cade scenario after that is a throwaway radio single with no video (WUTB); probably CIGI?

Notice how this would've gotten its top 10 peak if it had been a +356 bullet instead of this s**t. That's how dumb the label looks right now.

It’s weird this didn’t even have that “hovering around” moment when it’s +5/-5 spins for a couple weeks. They just flat-out dropped it.

It's been hovering-ish for a good month now. Never looked like a sure top 10 except for it being an Adele song.
Not gonna lie this peaking below WWWY is quite a shock.

She performed WWWY and has not even sang a single note of this song. Plus this is an uptempo and not ballad and definitely isn’t on an album selling 10 million copies. It’s obvious the GP wants ballad Adele.

The GP wants all Adele, but the promo has to be focused. If she was gonna promote I Drink Wine this much during Oh My God's run, then it should have been the second single instead.

I feel like she’s declining too. Between the album taking a nosedive after the holidays to her cancelling Vegas and now this stalling outside the Top 10, it just feels she’s not at the top right now (or where she should be since this is only the 2nd single).
EOM is great, but also had extremely weak competition for many of those weeks at #1. Her main competition was a song that was already #1 for 7 weeks before she dethroned it. And finally something from Encanto dethrones her? Just seems very weak and uneventful. The first few weeks were recording-breaking, obviously.

Maybe an improvement in callouts? So perplexing that this would fizzle out at the gate of the top 10 when it was within its reach.

This managed to top Billboard's Adult Alternative Airplay Chart this week, marking her 4th #1. Easy on Me was a Mediabase-only #1, having been blocked by The War on Drugs.

I feel I should highlight the beyond-f**kery radio is resorting to just so they can quadruple down on the zombie apocalypse they call a top 10.

What has happened to pop radio? It’s not even about this song. Why is the top ten SO stagnant? It’s just getting worse and worse. I feel like AC jumps on new music for their core artists faster and takes them higher. Do people really enjoy hearing the same songs over and over for such an extended period of time? This is why I literally don’t even listen to radio anymore.

It's so strange to see it drop like a rock so quickly, especially as its callouts weren't that bad and would've likely improved. I thought it would've at least got one week in the top 10 before falling.
It's still doing decently globally. Hopefully they'll move onto the next single in the US soon.

Callouts are awful for this track, the second lowest net positive 2 weeks in a row though I am still surprised it didn't even go top 10 no matter what the results were/are.

So there is hardly burn on any of these songs. songs linger and don't move on the charts and recurrents are played to death.

Yup, sometimes I have to remind myself that we on Pulse are a minority who generally enjoy exploring deep cuts and full albums whereas most of the general public is likely to latch onto a few songs and spin them obsessively for weeks/months.

Noooooo I'm listening to the song rn and it's a solid pop song, the chorus, the bridge it's so good! Didn't deserve to be dropped like this. I hope it doesn't make the list of the 'most spins loss in a week' songs

I’m baffled. The callout scores weren’t even that bad. It might not have been selling or streaming great but it has enough points in these metrics to warrant a Top 10 on Pop.
Funny how male artists are allowed to have bad score, worse streaming and sales than this one, and a few other female songs because radio do not bat their eyes when men experience this.

I'm a bit surprised this didn't catch on more. This sound and tempo is fresh for Adele, so I thought a Top 10 or Top 5 peak would've been almost guaranteed.

These drops are so dramatic that it almost feels like her label pulled the song.

Well it's hard to say it but this officially flopped. I think the next move should be to film a video for CIGI and line up son radio & tv promo. And if she treats the next singles like this the era is officially done.

Yeah those drops are terrible. I don't think there are any major hits left on 30 tbh. IDW is good but it's more of a grower and radio has no patience. CIGI could have been a cute hit if it was following a stronger performance from this or whatever IDW is gonna muster.
This really was the best pick they had and it just tanked. So weird.

Well it's hard to say it but this officially flopped. It’s so weird that who is arguably the biggest artist in the world continuously flops with single #2. This isn’t the first time this has happened. It’s like Michael Jackson or Madonna from the 80’s flopping on single #2. It just doesn’t seem possible.
