Predicted winner: Lose Yourself, My favorite: Lose Yourself (it sucks picking between this and Day n Nite, they the two best hip hop songs of the decade)

A classic is a classic, and Lose Yourself has absolutely earned that right.
I do hate to pick against Shakira and Kid Cudi, though. I considered picking one of them instead since this will almost certainly be a blowout and they won’t be returning in any future polls, but alas, they’re too similar in quality to each other, IMO.

I hate this. Sometimes I dislike every song, and now I love 5 songs...
#1 Lose Yourself

1. "Lose Yourself" (because is anyone really surprised?) 2. "Day n Nite" (NOT the remix that was played on the radio here) 3. "Whenever, Wherever" (I always confuse the order of the words in the title, but I definitely like this one more than "Hips Don't Lie", though I love both) 4. "Switch (a steep drop, but this is still a very nice comeback single from the legendary meme man of 2022) 5. "The First Cut is the Deepest" 6. "That's the Way It Is" 7. "Unfaithful" (ugh, I'm so conflicted on this; on one hand, the melody and delivery are great, but the lyrical meaning...sheesh) 8. "Leavin'" (slightly a guilty pleasure, I guess) Holy crap, these last two are so atrocious 9. "He Loves U Not" (was this the rejected rough draft of "It's Gonna Be Me" that they just gave Dream? Thank God for "Independent Women Part 1" keeping this from #1) 10. "We Fly High" (when even the hardcore rap fans on this site hate this)

Seems like a very mixed bag. On one hand, it has one of my all-time favourites, plus two other songs I really love. But it also has some I could do without, including two that I despise (which I don't think has happened until now, not counting disliking as the same thing).

CLASSICS 1. Lose Yourself 2. Day N Nite
Honestly is a coin flip between Lose Yourself and Day N Nite. Both are equal imo
Okay 3. Whatever, Whenever 4. The First Cut is the Deepest (well at least Sheryl Crow is a better singer than Rod Stewart)
Mediocre 5. That's the Way It Is (ballad Celine Dion is pretty good. Pop Celine Dion is...odd) 6. Unfaithul 7. Switch
Awful 8. We Fly High 9. Leavin 10. He Loves U Not (y'know more than Backstreet Boys, NSYNC and Spice Girls, THIS is why people mocked and hated pop bands in the 2000s. The bland generic vocals with no personality or charisma + tons of autotune, how dated the production is, how it sounds like the emphasis was on music videos and choreography than the music, this is bottom of the barrel bubblegum)

Love some of these songs. My top favorites would include: "That's the Way It Is," "He Loves U Not," "Whenever, Wherever," "Lose Yourself," "Unfaithful" and "Leavin'."
Voted for: "Lose Yourself"

“That’s The Way It Is”
That said, “Day N Nite” is a close second.
