This seems to have the potential to be the next major format. It's primarily alternative Hip Hop and R&B, but also plays mainstream hits that fit the format and mixes in 1980s to 2010s Hip Hop and R&B...major hits, moderate hits and album cuts. They also play a good amount of Dance/House influenced tracks. The playlist is deeper, much more diverse and much less repetitive than Mainstream Urban. In short, it's "Urban AAA". There are 6 stations so far nationwide and a 7th one launching in Jackson, MS either later this year or early next year. hyfin.org/ (Milwaukee) vocalo.org/ (Chicago) vibehouston.com/ (Houston) www.thedrop303.org/ (Denver) www.carbonsound.fm/ (Minneapolis-St. Paul) www.nsu.edu/WNSB (Norfolk)

The more I listen, the harder it is to believe that this wasn't created about 10 years ago. I haven't listened to radio this much since about '99/'00.
