I don't see a thread for this? Only on the Target deluxe, but this is classic pop Taylor. Love it, need it on streaming NOW.

This one’s phenomenal. Should’ve made the album proper.

Finally got around to listening this one and holy shit. Easily some of her best lyrical work. I think she's holding off on streaming for a reason. It's her ::coughthirdsinglecough:: upbeat "All Too Well."

God I really wanna listen to this. I know it's out there and I've stumbled upon snippets here and there but I want this on streaming. I have high expectations.

Given Taylor's track record for Target exclusives, I highly, highly doubt it'll be years. I fully expect this to hit digital retailers and streaming services by the end of summer. All of her Target exclusives from Speak Now onwards have been available everywhere in less than a year and a half. Two of them even became full fledged singles (Ours and New Romantics).

Anyone know why HD was unblocked on YT last week? YT is filled with multiple fanmade lyric videos. A few noted they were created in November, but blocked for weeks.

Oh I'm aware, I just wanna wait until the official release! Thank you waiting for ur reaction Oh daaaaaaaamn... I'm afraid that I cheated. I had to listen to the song for the Midnights rankdown, as I was one of the hosts, so today it wasn't a true surprise! But still. It's probably in my top 3 of the album now. I love this song, it's so positive and summery yet relatable!

I really like it but Swifties made it sound like it was the second coming of Style-type of pop perfection so I couldn't help but feel a little underwhelmed at first.
On it's own, really fun track. I wouldn't hate the idea of this being a single but I don't think Karma, Cruel Summer and Speak Now TV leave enough room for another song.

This my favorite song of the era, and my favorite thing she's done since folklore. It doesn't seem to fit the album, so I get it as an extra.

I too was one of the holdouts in not listening to this. (Imagine my roller coaster of emotions when she announced this was coming... but so was another exclusive track I'll have to wait for.) Anyway, my first couple of listens to this? Underwhelming. It's... fine. I don't get the countless people all over the internet that touted this as the big smash of the album or one of the best tracks the album has to offer because it's not. I enjoy it, it's a pleasant song, but meh. Reminds me of when I finally heard "New Romantics" for the first time and was like.... "*this* is what everyone got excited over?* and then it actually became a single and flopped, validating my feelings.
Anyway, it's a welcome addition to my playlists, but it probably won't be one I gravitate towards much.

Anyway, it's a welcome addition to my playlists, but it probably won't be one I gravitate towards much. This is one of the reasons I was suggesting people just listen to it. The song was out, it’s not like it was a leak. It’s a good, cute, catchy song. You’ll have it on repeat at one point. But Hits Different is not a song good enough to hold out for 8 months for. It was being overrated because it was a broadly-appealing guitar-pop tune that everyone at least kind of enjoyed. That’s one of the reasons people think it would do well on radio, but ultimately this song is not reflective of Taylor’s current level of musicality and craftsmanship. People should just listen to the darn songs when they are released. I get the temptation to give yourself something to look forward to, but Bonus Tracks are Bonus Tracks for a reason. It’s much easier to enjoy them by just listening to them with the rest of the album.

I’m not going out of my way to listen to a bonus track that’s not on Spotify. I didn’t listen to Lemonade for years.

If I had listened to it when it came out, my opinion wouldn't be any different than now. Unless I managed to listen to it right at midnight on release day, there's no way I was going to avoid reading about the hype before giving it a listen, so I was always going to be underwhelmed. Does it really make a difference if I was underwhelmed in October or now? I don't think so. I also really don't think it's anyone's business as to why I or anyone else didn't want to search it up. Let us be, we ain't harming anyone.
