New song, “Treated Me Good” drops tomorrow night! I have a good feeling that we will be getting a deluxe edition of “Good Person” in the coming months. 😁

I apologize for another back-to-back post, but I’m starting to get more hopeful about “Feel Like This” doing well at radio for Ingrid.
I know it’s still very early, but I think by late spring/early summer it’ll start to take off. It’s streaming decently well on Amazon and Spotify, but could benefit from some higher playlist placings on Apple Music. Sales are obviously not really there, but I think as it climbs it’ll start sell better.

Eh I don't see it taking off in mid June/real early July (aka early summer/late spring for me) since that is only like 13 weeks away. If this does take off, probably looking at some time in the fall given how slow charts are. Obviously this song isn't doing bad (7 more adds and I think it's at about 40 total stations) but chart runs are so long nowadays that if this does take off it is gonna be a LONG time.

Fabulous. She's such a star. Her voice sounds so great here with just the simple piano, guitar, and the cry of that pedal steel. Chills.

Was listening to this today and remembered how much I enjoyed it. Anyone have an update on how this one is doing at radio? Close to debuting on the Mediabase top 50?

I’m going to assume this isn’t going to end up charting and taking off. No new adds in the past month & its spins have been in the same range.
It’s so frustrating why Ingrid can’t seem to connect more with listeners. I get her more pop-leaning sound might be why, but a song like “Feel Like This” should’ve been a hit at country radio. It was coming off a big #1 collab & was performing well on streaming platforms. I know it’s not as instant as some of the other songs on “Good Person” but it was still a really strong single choice IMO.
Hopefully Warner will send something new in June though. “How Honest Do You Want Me To Be?” would be my pick.

It's still being promoted and I do think it's audience totals are close to charting on Billboard. I do think it's important to note that Ingrid Andress has never been that hot with radio (I know she has two Top 5 singles) but none of her singles started off strongly out the gate with radio.

Debuts at #60 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart this week. Ingrid's 5th career entry on the chart.
I'm glad this at least charted, but I've lost hope in it becoming a hit unless it starts to pull in more adds again.

Shameful that it took this long to chart and looks unlikely to be a hit, but I still maintain there were like at least a good 2-3 far better single options on the record, so it can be at least partly chalked up to that. That said, "Feel Like This" is still a stunning song and has a solid melody and great lyrics, so it's too bad that country radio couldn't embrace it more than they did. Glad it at least charted though. It's still unfortunate to see her floundering with anything as a follow-up to such a monumental smash as "Wishful Drinking" was.

If things don't end up taking off by the end of June, I hope they switch singles like they did last era with "The Stranger" and "Lady Like". I think "How Honest Do You Want Me To Be?" would be her best shot at another hit, but I wouldn't be opposed to "Yearbook" although that would be a huge risk for her IMO.

I am not too surprised to see this struggling. If anything, I think this shows the importance of choosing the right follow up single. That’s something her team has failed to do well with thus far, ie, The Stranger after More Hearts Than Mine and now this.
I hope they switch gears and move onto How Honest. I’d also go with Seeing Someone Else (which would’ve been the perfect follow up to Wishful Drinking), but I’m not sure if they’d do that since it already had its moment over at Hot AC.

This is still struggling miserably as half of its leaders are just Audacy stations playing it overnight right now. I wish she would pull it from radio and try something new because it’s becoming obvious it’s not going to make it out of the top 50.

At this point they should try “Yearbook”. It has potential to be another “More Hearts Than Mine” IMO.

So it's very obvious that this is done; the last time it pulled any adds was mid-April and today it lost half its stations on MB that already only had it in overnights. Really curious as to what the next move is for her and concerned about Warner taking too long to call it quits on this single and start pushing something else.
The obvious choice is "Yearbook"; the sound of it fits the current state of radio the best out of everything from Good Person, she's included it in various high-profile sets (NPR Tiny Desk, the Opry, etc), even when they were choosing the follow-up there were online polls between it and "Feel Like This", so its obvious her team sees the potential. I just don't totally get why they're not scrambling to get her a radio hit given the amount of time on the road traveling to a ton of markets she's putting in (they did this when she was opening for Dan+Shay too; they really sent her on an arena tour with no current single to promote and sent Wishful Drinking after the tour was over 💀).
I'd just really like for Yearbook to be the hit that saves this era for her since her opening week sales were a disappointment, her headlining tour was only 8 shows long, and she didn't match the Grammy or awards success her first album did. I definitely think it could be another "More Hearts Than Mine", which is what this era needs.

I hate saying this but idk if I see radio fully taking to Ingrid, unless its a smash that's already connecting phenomenally (Wishful Drinking.) Which sucks cause I do think she has her own unique lane that isn't the same as the other ladies in country. It's wild because this one did stream pretty good honestly.
I do hope that Warner continues to at least try some more singles for radio for her, and if they don't do much of anything maybe try to focus more on streaming, and carving out a Kacey Musgraves type niche.
I don't however, think they will try for another single on this album though. Would love to be proven wrong and them release "Yearbook," but I don't think they will.

Yeah I just don't see Ingrid Andress having long term success with country radio or at best she has it inconsistently as her style while really standing out from country radio, I also feel like it isn't the most radio friendly.

I don't feel super optimistic about her long-term prospects at country radio either, sadly. That said, they had several better options for a follow-up than "Feel Like This." They definitely whiffed on sending this one to radio imo. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the end of the Good Person era, but "Yearbook" and "How Honest Do You Want Me to Be?" are both begging to be hits, for different reasons. She's crazy talented and brings something different to the country music landscape, so it's unfortunate that she hasn't clicked better. Her two hits both moved the needle in a big way and she has one of the best ears for a hooky melody in the game rn, so there's clearly so much potential there.

They had 3 amazing choices for singles (Yearbook, How Honest, and Seeing Someone Else) and they picked the wrong single. I still don't fully understand why this was chosen to begin with. This is fine for an album track but even there it's outclassed by almost the whole album.
Such a strange choice.

I love this one now, but it was far from instant. They should have gone with “Yearbook” tbh. Hopefully they give that one a shot. I can still see it becoming a hit for her regardless her lack of momentum.

I feel like they should send this to HAC as it’s built a solid streaming base and she’s been introduced to that format already. Probably would top out at Top 20 at best but could be a nice opportunity to somewhat salvage this and pivot focus there as it seems Country radio is very fickle with her.

It seems I am in the minority, but I loved this song as a single. But I guess I can understand why radio didn't like it. Of course, I loved The Stranger as well. Ingrid has a pretty modern/AC sound to her music and it just doesn't seem to be liked by country radio which makes me sad, because her music is so catchy.

I’m sorry for bringing up an old thread, but I wasn’t sure where to put this:
“Yearbook” has been added to Apple Music’s Country Risers playlist & is pinned on Ingrid’s Spotify profile. I’m really hoping this means they’re gearing up for a radio push. While it’s a risky choice following a flop radio single, I think it’s their best move at this point. It’s easily one of the most country sounding songs Ingrid has put out & lyrically is one of the best songs she’s written (IMO).
