I like the sound of this. I’ve been a fan of Chris since his Nashville Star days. Can’t wait to hear the new songs.

Another great effort by Chris Young. I know many posters were not too keen on his last album, but I have been enjoying his recent materials, and this is not the exception. I love the heavy production on this song.

This isn't bad but it feels like a typical safe Chris Young single just like most of his music has felt lately.

This is alright on first listen, like raylatch said it feels very safe. Although that being said "Famous Friends" and "At the End of a Bar" ended up growing on me and I am probably a bigger fan of his poppier stuff like "Hangin' On" and "Losing Sleep" than a lot of others here (although I never got around to listening to his recent albums though...) so chances are it's going to end up growing on me to some extent at least.

I didn't really get into this one on first listen. I knew exactly where it was going the whole time and it feels like radio fodder that either climbs to the top 3 in 45 weeks or stalls in the 30s.

Guy hasn’t been worth a dime since 2013 and sadly that trend will continue here. What a wasted talent

This is definitely a better song than his most recent ones from the last era…but it continues to be no match at all to the man who sang such songs as “Tomorrow” and “Voices.” How I pine for that Chris Young to return

I agree this is safe and a bit generic. However the other song he released, “All Dogs Go To Heaven” I think is quite good and I would’ve preferred it to be the single that went to radio

Any chance this cracks the MB chart tonight? Nope no one's going recurrent tonight on Mediabase so the Top 50 as of today will remain the same and while this did get a decent bit of hourly airplay I don't think it's that close to making the Top 50.

This is definitely a step down from his singles from Famous Friends imo, and there were some better options remaining on that record that could've still been released, namely "If I Knew What Was Good for Me" which sounded like a SMASH (and defeats the purpose of the whole re-release with several new songs tacked on, but I digress...). Not releasing that stings a little more now that I hear the alternative in "Looking for You," though I guess I can't totally blame them for moving on to new music since "At the End of a Bar" took entirely took long to peak and was a softer hit than I expected it to be. All that aside, I don't mind this song and think it's decently catchy radio fodder as others above already stated. It's just a bit on the blah side from someone capable of so much better though. Chris Young would be a much bigger star at the format if he released more singles that showed off his fantastic voice and had some more interesting subject matter. Like fearlessarrow, I don't abhor his recent singles the way many on Pulse seem to, but I think we can ALL agree that he's better when he's doing songs like "Tomorrow" or "Sober Saturday Night" than stuff like this or "Hangin' On," catchy as they may be.

Seems like a rather low number for Chris Young coming off of the hits he had in “Famous Friends” and “At the End of A Bar.” I kinda expected quite a bit more. Not triple-digit adds, but I thought at least he’d be the most added overall. All that said though, I won’t be shocked to see him get away with another hit provided it winds up testing well.

Good lord he needs a new producer. Why they continue to bury one of the best voices in the genre behind a massive wall of sound is just befuddling. His last two singles were at least good songs with too much production - this one doesn't even clear that bar.

Debuts at #47 on Mediabase tonight with a bullet of 299. This is off to a very good start which is so frustrating because I am so sick of Chris Young playing it so safe and be rewarded for such banal mediocrity as I do think if he did flop with a couple of singles maybe he would change producers or something. Besides "Famous Friends" and "Think Of You" I can't remember how any of his songs since 2015 go and besides those two and "I'm Coming Over" none of his singles since then have had any longevity.
But this looks like a hit and I can only imagine his next album will be a huge nothing burger of an album that is the music equivalent to plain yogurt. No flavor, no intrigue and easily forgotten of by the time you are done with it.

Curious to see if this song soon falls off the chart as 4 stations have added "Young Love & Saturday Nights" this week on Mediabase. Wouldn't be opposed to that since this song is the most boring song on the chart and at least the other song of his has a little bit more of a pulse to it.

The song has been gaining just fine lately and climbing its way up the chart at a decent clip for Chris Young's standards, so I don't see it going away until they're able to push it to #1 or close to it in a couple months.

I agree ….No idea why people think this is underperforming This song is doing really well….Should easily be top 5 if not a #1.

It will be interesting to see if they go ahead and push "Young Love and Saturday Nights" while this is still climbing. Not exactly the same thing Jelly, Luke or Morgan are doing with multiple released to radio around the same time. My guess is it would be to get the new single at least added and charting by the time LFY peaks to save the 3 months of overnight spins getting it established and having to wait around on it...also could keep Chris on the radio as I don't see this one getting a ton of recurrent airplay after it tops out. Just my .02

Interesting move considering only a couple a people mentioned above can actually get away with it. However, i think “Young Love and Saturday Nights” is screaming to be potentially a huge hit, so i get it. And i wonder if they even care if LFY suffers because of it. (Maybe it will, maybe it won’t?) At the end of the day LFY will still be a top 10/top 5 hit, possible #1, and YLASN has potential to be another song that could have a “She Had Me at Heads Carolina” type rise. Although i don’t think it will quite get that big, i do think it will at least as big as Famous Friends was. But maybe even bigger.

Gonna guess this one is done, given it’s been seeing decent sized losses for a few days now. Anyone know what this peaked at?

Per his Billboard chart history on their website it peaked at 13 on airplay. I assume that if this is pulled “Young Love And Saturday Nights” will be impacting very soon as this could have easily made it higher if they didn’t pull it.

Kind of happy this song is done as it has been one of the bigger nothing burgers on the chart and is such a forgetful song.
